I just got my 7 month old declawed (front paws only). I know that sutures get itchy when they are healing, but I've never had a kitten chew at them as much as this one does. He's gotten a couple of his toes a little bit bloody a couple times. My vet suggested using Bitter Yuck spray on them, which I did, but he licks it anyway! I know he won't stand for having little socks or mittens over his paws. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

im going to be getting a kitten, possibly 2, and i was just wondering between males and females which ones had better temperments (were more playful, more mischevious, etc.) or should i get one of both and see? theyre already going to be spayed/neutered if that makes any difference

I have 2 cats (female) and am fostering 2 other cats (male) and they don't get along. Both of the boys terrorize one of my other cats. One stalks her and the other physically attacks her. I lock them up but i can't over night or they wake me up at 3 in the morning wanting out. Luckily they don't bother her then. But I have no clue what to do!!!! HELP ASAP!!

I have recently changed vets and the last time I brought my 2 yr. old female up there the vet assistant didn't know how to tell if she's been spayed or not (I learned that she's new and in training). well, she didn't figure it out and she finally just trusted me that Lily's been spayed. my question is how do you tell that a female cat has been spayed?? oh, and when I was up there the vet was on vacation that day (I just brought her in for her shots). one more thing, when you change vets, are they required to check if the pets have been spayed/neutered? just curious, Thanks!

I can't believe it !... my cat, the most sweet thing you'd ever seen, it has turned into some kind of of predator at nite all of a sudden. I have tried all kinds of sporadic and rather un-orthodox methods to np avail. NOw all i'm thinking is that a bb gun will do away with my little problem, ok..ok... jk

I know some of you have a clue on why this is happening to a 1 year old energetic and healthy animal that is fixed so what you may be thinking is out of the question.
Again, help me because i would like to get some shut eye once in a while.

I recently adopted two kittens - 3 months old and brother and sister.

They've been in the house for less than a wee. But already, We've observed some form of aggresive behaviour. Sometimes they give each other little punches.

It's not like they brawl and wrestle. It;s a little, almost like a 'pat' and then the kittens run off to play.

But what also aroused my suspicion is that the brohehr, who was supposed to be playful and fun - became the shy one. The sister, who was supposed to be shy, grew to be much more independent.

Also, when they are eating. The sister doesn't let the brother eat the wet food - 'Panda' (the brother) simply eats the dry food. We put out two plates and still Panda didn't eat as much as his sister.

We normally feed 1/3 of the can of wet food to both kittens everyday

Are the two kittens getting along well with each other?
Is Panda not being fed well enough?
How do I stimulate sharing of the food

This a re-post with more details.

My two cats RECENTLY STOPPED covering up their excrement when they use the litter. I would really like help with this since it stinks constantly and it's embarrassing when we have company.

Recently a stray has been coming to the window and yowling/hissing at my cats. They get very upset when this happens. I'm wondering if they think their territory is being threatened, thus letting the scent be "known".

Facts are as follows:
1. We have one box for each cat.
2. We clean both boxes once a day MINIMUM.
3. The litter works extremely well. But it has to cover the feces to neutralize the scent.
4. We changed our litter brand 3 months ago but the liners and the boxes are still the same.
5. The cats started this problem two weeks ago.

Thanks

I took my 2 year old cat over my cousin's house so the kids can play with it. She was a little scaried, and when my sister took it outside incase she wanted to go to the bathroom... I guess she freaked out and ran away.. What should I do now?

My cousin's house is not too far from mine, but I do not think the cat can trvael that far because she would need to cross a large road.

I think its because he's jealous but not sure. They are siblings...6yrs old. both male, It begun about a year and half ago. After I spend time with Sammy, Riley may go over and Mount him and grab his neck and bite him. From that position Sam can't get lose. Riley may just wake up from sleeping and go over and bite him in the same position. It's gotten so bad it really doesn't matter what happens to cause him to do it. Sam is a more passive cat. I've tryed to spend more time with Riley...why does he do this...he is nuetered. They both are.
