Anytime an animal has a sore, you should take them to the vet. Cuts on animals get infected very easily especially if the animal keeps licking it or scratching it. Don't using anything you have at home on he animals, it can give them gastrointestinal problems if ingested. How did the cat get the sore? Is it not healing itself? Oozing? Bleeding? Does the cat seem to be bothered by it? Your vet will ask these questions to determine what it is. The best way is to see it in person.
Bottom line, take the cat to the vet.

Put some hot/warm compress on the cat for 10 mins at a time, sounds like your cat might have a cat nail embedded and causing an infection. The compress will help alieviate the sore, whether or not your cat will need some ointment for his eye from the vet depends on what that sore is exactly. Good luck!

Since your cat is a member of your family, you must do as you would any other family member who can not help themself...get him to a vet. The vet will determine what happened, how to prevent it again, and give medication especially designed for a cat. Don't mess around with over the counter medication, etc. Pretend that the cat is your most favorite child, and call the vet at once. Good luck.

Be careful about the eyes, from my own experiences, I have used a cotton swab with hydrogen peroxide, like the kind humans use to kill germs. I would not use any ointment unless prescribed by a dr. We use it on the farm where our animals get cuts on the fence and thing like that. Hope this helps.

Yeah, i imagine it may be an damage of a few variety. it may have worry healing with the help of itself, so it may probably be a large selection to bypass to the vet, or atleast get an xray performed to make confident that that's not some thing severe. it may nicely be a pulled muscle, sprain or damaged bone so i imagine it should be important to get extra information on the damage. desire i ought to help!

The vet will have an ointment. Do not use anything at home because cats lick themselves and can get sick

You could put a can of Coke on it but it would not help. Take Tabby to the vet.
