my cat has the drinkwell fountain. When I was trying to decide which one was best, I found that this one had a better rating, and my vet also recommended it. You can buy a 50 oz. attatchment for it, I only have one cat so I've found that it's not necessary. The fountain is pretty quiet, but the down side is that it needs to be taken apart and thoroughly cleaned about once a week. Some of the parts are hard to get to so i'd recommend buying the cleaning brushes that are sold seperately, or some aquarium brushes will work as well.

WOW! They make those?! That makes maximum adventure! I continuously questioned why my cat insists on ingesting from the bathe and the bath extremely of the suited sparkling water i've got left for him downstairs. i've got faith that sounds like an remarkable concept - cats continuously go with the main puzzling decision, eg, if it replaced into as quickly as between a bowl of able made foodstuff and a strolling mouse, they could bypass after the mouse each time. So the fountain sounds remarkable cos your cat would have the satisfaction of 'catching' his very own water - I recognize that sounds silly however i'm specific there is an element of actuality in it.

Since cats are the ultimate pet they deserve the best, but there are dishes threaded to take 3 3 litre bottle as a storage tank. No moving parts or maintainence. If cool water is an issue fill the bottle 1/3 full and freeze at an angle. as the ice melts it cools the water in the dish.
But if the tech way is picked, choose the longest warranty.

We've had a Petmate for almost 2 years now and there's still no problems with it. It's super easy to disassemble to clean.
I used to think these were a waste of money, but given my cats' obsession with moving water (they would drink out of the toilet before they'd drink out of their own water bowl, no matter how clean), I got one when I found it on sale and it was the best money I've ever spent on them. We have really hard water so I actually use bottled water so the pump hasn't had a chance to get full of mineral deposits. But just the fact that it filters the dust and floating fur out and it makes the water ripple is enough for them, and for me.

I've used both. The Drinkwell was a little harder to take apart to clean, but it lasted for over a year where the Petmate only lasted a few months.

i got the Petflow drinking founain... it is relatively quiet and the gentle flow fascinates one of my cats. I like that it also filters the water. My cats enjoy drinking from the fountain and now I am not worried that they will run out of water while I am asleep or out of the house.

both are good, but are a lot of upkeep. You have to frequently wash them down as they get a bit of buildup. We like the Petmate better just because of the capacity.

I don't see a lot of difference. The first one has a higher customer rating and I think free shipping. I would go with that one!
