My fiance didn't want to spay our cat because of a million reasons. One of them was fear of the surgery. What the vet told him was that spay and neutering of animals is the most common surgery that's performed. She'll be fine. Our hyper kitten came home a bit sleepy and slow for a day or so, but immediately popped back into acting like a spaz. So much for the whole "spaying can calm cats down" myth.

Very Very small chance that she won't survive. These people spay animals all the time, she will be just fine.

It is natural to worry, but this is such a common procedure the chances are slim that your cat won't be a-ok afterwards. Make sure to give her all of her antibiotics, and keep an eye on the incision... good luck

PS: Thanks for spaying your pet.

if you do the blood work on it they can determine if there is any thing wrong with the liver kidneys things like that, it's just like the blood work we humans get before a surgery, will make the surgery so much safer and will ease your mind
