heavily soiled carpet from cat urine. It is actually isolated in one area but I need something especially for these types of stains. From what i hear cleaning it with a carpet cleaner is bad because the water spreads it...........it has to be for urine. Do they come out and quote you? Is their a name for what i need and it is NOT the same as renting a cleaner and doing it yourself, is it? Any input welcome. I am in Florida if anyone has a recomendation or absolutley any helpful advise- thanks

She is 14 years old and lives with my Mom as I got married 3 years ago. SHE GOES to the bathroom ON THE CARPET. She has for about a year. Vet says nothing medically wrong she could see. I have twin daughters now who are one and the smell at my Moms house is NEVER going away. She cleans carpets, lysols, scrubs, burns candles..... I LOVE being at "home" but the smell makes it emberassing and GROSS.
Anyway........I have researched here and 2 products came up..........PetZyme and Natures Miricle. I am skeptical about any product. The area is HEAVILY soiled. Like I said she cleans her carpets weekly. SOOOOOOOOO if you have tried a product and it REALLY works for HEAVILY soiled cat urine stains.......PLEASE help. I am desperate and my Mom is miserable. Also, do you reccomend a black light and even though my Mom cleans it, is it dangerous for my 1 year old twins?? ANY input will be appriciated. Serious answers only please. Thanks

We have a 3 months old baby and are very concerned about hygiene. Are there any technical devices around, like sound emitters etc you can atttach to your cat's neck?

I have had a 10 week old kitten since adopting her last weekend. So far she has made an amazing transition to her new home -- onyl one tiny litter accident, and two nights with no sleep, but otherwise she's been great. Tonight I had a bit of an episode with her that left me worried. After an extended play session before bed time, my kitty seemed to completely lose control and just become overly hyper. Her pupils were super dilated and she pounced across the room from toy to toy. I had already had a good amount of active play with her earlier in the day. Is it possible to over play with a kitten?

I have a male kitten that's probably a little over 7 months and neutered. It'll normally take him an entire day to eat 1 can of cat food. I leave a bowl of hard food out that he can nibble on through the day, and I also give him another can of cat food at night if he's finished the first one, but he normally nibbles on that a little bit.
My aunt has a cat that's pretty big....She'll feed him his can of soft food in the kitchen (he eats about 2 a day), but puts his hard food and water in the laundry room. Does someone have a reason as to why she may do this?

Check this out- my cat is eating a plate of onions and sauerkraut! My husband spoiled her by giving her bites off his plate and now she thinks she has to taste everything we eat. I just had a hot dog with onions and kraut and she wouldn't leave me alone so I put the plate down for her and she is eating it up! There's no hot dog, just the leftover stuff that fell off. What weird thing does your cat eat?

She always stays under it and messes with all the ornaments and strings of beads and lights. How do I stop her from tearing it all down? I spank her on the bottom and put her outside when I catch her doing it but when I let her back in she heads straight for the tree. What can I do to stop this behavior?

I've had my kitten 2 1/2 months now - she's very playful and loving and healthy. I have 2 questions.
1. I currently live in Singapore and it is the most cat hating country in the world. I need her to wear a collar, she is a complete indoor cat and I keep her away from the front door at all time but I'm afraid if she runs out I will never get her back - she hasn't attempted this before but we all know cat's personalities. She absolutely HATES wearing a collar and keeps trying to eat the little bell and name tag on it - she loses her mind when I try to put it on her. I have her microchipped but I highly doubt anyone here would bother bringing her to the SPCA if she was lost - how do I get her used to the collar??
2. There is only very basic kitty litter here, is there anything safe that I can buy at the supermarket that will help with odor control. I clean solids daily and wash it out every other week but would like to add some odor control???

I've heard nurmous complaints about their kittens and cats.

Most of you probably work all day and expect your indoor cats to be perfectly wonderful when you get home, well, that is not the case.

These are animals that are left indoors all day and get soooo bored.

Most of your complaints are because of this.

A lot of cats do many things in the house because they need to be outdoors. THEY ARE BORD.

Get a cage, or fenced area and get them out.

Sorry for all you apartment owners, but this is the reason for most of your complaints.

P.S. Some cats cannot live indoors.

3 days ago we took our 3 kittens that my male cat had brought home to the vet because they had sore eyes and colds.
2 of the kittens are fine now but they both have 1 blue eye but there eyes are green.
The vet said they MIGHT lose there sight and i am really worried that they have both gone blind in 1 eye.
The other kitten is sick, with 2 sore eyes ,sleeps most of the time but eats and drinks fine.
He has been sick for 2-3 days now and they are all on medicine and eye drops.
So if any1 can tell me if 2 kittens with the blue eyes (Stitch & Jaffa)
are going or gone blind and what can i do to help (Sky) with his cold.

thanx alot xoxooxx
