heavily soiled carpet from cat urine. It is actually isolated in one area but I need something especially for these types of stains. From what i hear cleaning it with a carpet cleaner is bad because the water spreads it...........it has to be for urine. Do they come out and quote you? Is their a name for what i need and it is NOT the same as renting a cleaner and doing it yourself, is it? Any input welcome. I am in Florida if anyone has a recomendation or absolutley any helpful advise- thanks

The cheapest isn’t always the best, look for a cleaner that has a clear plan of how to address the problem. Most cleaners will not guarantee total removal but the general procedure is to pull the carpet back, replace pad and seal the sub-floor …this is generally an expensive process. There are almost always more than one or two spots in a room you just don’t know they are there a competent cleaner will use a black light and a moisture probe to look for additional spots

Water cleaning is ultimately the best remedy since components of urine are, salts amino acids which are soluble in water based cleaning solutions

You want a steam cleaner not a carpet cleaner. The steam is super heated and then blown on the soiled ereas then sucked up just like a carpet cleaner just at a higher speed. Make sure they scotch gaurd it when they are done to seal the carpet fibers again and make it easier to clean the next time. When they are done spray the erea with a chemical called bitter apple animals can't stand the smell so they stay away from the erea so that should stop your cat from urinating in that spot. Have had to do this at my house due to a new cat in the house.

Try to get the name of a reputable company from friends or family. They will know what to do. Good luck.
