Hi there...cats inappropriately urinate due to several possibilities: the box isn't clean enough, the box is not easily accessible, if there are multiple cats competing for the box, type of litter, location of litter box, if it's covered some cats feel claustrophobic and if it's uncovered it may not be private enough, was declawed, not neutered, or it's a medical problem such as a urinary tract infection or something more serious.

Consider using Nature's Miracle for Cats found worldwide at any pet store. It's an enzymatic neutralizer which breaks down urine proteins. It works by pouring the solution on the affected areas and then allow to air dry. Repeated applications may be necessary depending on how heavily soiled the areas are.

Lacking other knowledge about your home life, the first suggestion which comes to mind is to get rid of the cat.

I know a lady who used to work as a receptionist for a chiropractor; she also did (reiki?) massage and her business card also said "Animal communicator." That seems a little 'out there,' but kitties can and do give editorial comments--in _The Fur Person_ by May Sarton, the cat (Tom Jones, a foundling) had several ways to indicate at what level he enjoyed or did not enjoy his dinner (the lowest level was to pantomime scratching earth over it as if to bury something in a litterbox). Because of various things I have learned about May Sarton's life and writings, I believe "Tom Jones" is a thin fictionalization of an actual cat who owned Ms. Sarton at one time.

So. . . .possibilities.

1. Get rid of the cat.
2. Put a lock on the door which you can lock from the inside or outside. Always keep the door locked and make sure the cat is outside the room when you lock the door.
3. Find someone who believes they have some insight into what kitty is thinking. A Google search for animal communicator turned up a number of 'hits.'
4. Kitty Pampers.
5. Has the cat been neutered? Sometimes, neutering a cat will at least slow down the rate at which his territory is marked. Ask your veterinarian if he/she thinks that will help.

Last year my beautiful Manx cat Theodore went out for the evening and never came back. I love cats and the house didn't feel the same without one, so I picked up Lola from a rescue centre. She was very frightened and would pee all over the house. I found Cat Spraying No More on the internet and the techniques worked almost immediately. I haven't had a problem with Lola since. Amazing!

Can't stop your cat peeing in the house? Then worry no more...

Dang, I hate the smell of kitty pee!!!!!!!
What is your kitty peeing on?
If it is clothes that you have laying around, then you need to pick up all the clothes. And never let them lay around again.
If it is up against a piece of furniture or something like that then you need to make it smell like something different from the p-p that kitty has made there.
Vinegar mixed with water is good to get rid of the smell. But then it is still damp and smells like vinegar..but hey, sure beats kitty p.
Ya just gotta outsmart your cat. Not easy.
Is he fixed? Maybe that would help.
There are some stuff that you can buy for the smell. But I never could find anything that would really work that was as cheap as vinegar and water. 2 parts vinegar 1 part water.
Good luck and your kitty is lucky that you love him.

I have the exact same problem and although I can't offer a solution I can sympathise. My cat Pee's in my little boy's room. (It's his cat) But he has littler boxes and they're always clean but he's taken to liking peeing in the room and it now smells aswel. I've moved my son out of there and now he's sharing with his brother and the cat still pee's in there.
Good luck.
I hope someone else has a solution for both of us.

Does he use his litter box? try putting some of his urine on his litter box and bring him there to show him where he should put his poop and pee. Oh yeah, make sure he has easy access to his litter box. How old is he? I've also always been wanting to know how to get rid of cat pee stench.

cats can be very picky about their litter. If its not cleaned to their liking or if its a brand they don't like, they can and will go outside the box. Have you switched brands lately? Try another brand and see if that helps.

He is just marking his teritory, you need to make sure you don't have anything laying around. If he still does it. he may need to see a vet.
