i have starved him for 24hrs but this has not helped,if no better by monday will take him to vets,but wondered if this may be cause,as its a new plant?thanks in advance

Hi there...please consider calling an emergency vet. This plant may be considered very toxic to cats therefore it's best to call and be safe rather than chance waiting as it could be too late. To locate an ER vet just type in Google search field "emergency veterinary and [your city, state]"

Vets now. May cause permanent damage. Also very painful for the cat I'd imagine. I doubt starving him is the best thing (I might be wrong though) but i would have thought that needs to get out of his system asap. Get the vet's phoned quick.

If he is no better, definitely take him to the vets. Maybe feed him milk to line his stomach and keep plenty of water close by.

That stuff is very harmful to dogs, I suggest you take him to the vet now or as soon as possible.

It could be poisened by this type of grass. Call your vet and ask.

Do you mean Helm grass? I should take to the vet then, that stuff is nasty.
