She has been vomiting for days..it is now turned into bile. She will not get up to urinate and now smells of urine. She wont move, is lifeless and looks to be in pain. Every stomach medicine given by the vets wont help. She is dehydrated but will not eat or drink. She has lost a lot of weight. I do not know what it could be..they have done blood tests and xrays and nothing came back. I cannot afford urinalysis and all of those things so I thnk it may be a disease. Should I let her suffer through it? I really really need some help.

the skin at his low back is slightly raised or inflamed. when petted gently, he looks around like there are spots before his eyes and he does a repetitive chewing motion, petting harder seems to irritate him and he snaps at my hand so i'll stop. the vet gave him a shot claiming allergies, but after 48 hours, there is no change. has anyone seen these symptoms in a cat before and have an idea what else it could be?

I guess my cat stepped in wet litter last night and it was stuck all over her back paw. It seems better today but I cannot really tell because she won't let me look at it. I'm sure it was probably worse when it was wet, but I'd like to know how to remove it wet or dry. Thanks.

I have had an allergy to cats ever since I can remember but have always been fine around dogs. My eyes swell and I itch all over my body. Despite my allergy, my boyfriend and I adopted a stray cat because we couldn't find a no-kill shelter with room for him. He is a paramedic and swears to me that I can't be allergic to just cats and not dogs. He told me the allergy does not come from hair but from dander and all animals have dander. I swear I am allergic to this cat because I constantly have to take allergy medicine or I am miserable. Can someone help me prove a point and give me some good hard medical facts that could back up my case?!

We have an unfinished, fieldstone basement. I have put things along the walls so he can't get to them, but he still manages sometimes. He is very insistent on getting to the wall and licking something off, maybe salt??? Anyone have any ideas, advice, knowledge, similar incidents of some sort? I already asked the vet and they don't have an answer - only to keep him from doing it, of course. Thanks!!

My daughter's cat has fleas. We believe she also has tapeworm. What are the symptoms for tapeworm? She is eating us out of house and home.

How many of you out there have engaged in popping flea's on pets, or picking flea's off of pets, especially pet cats?

I've had my male cat, Henry, for almost 4 years now and he's never had problems peeing in his catbox, I moved into a new apartment and I have an extra bedroom, that I store some work out equipment in and his catbox, he poops in his catbox but pees all over the room, it's like he thinks the whole room is his personal catbox, how do I get him to pee in the catbox again!?! I'm so lost, I've tried everything, I guess I should mention he's an older cat, I'm not sure how old because I adopted him, he's not OLD, but older...(if that makes sense)

For the past few weeks I've noticed her breathing heavily, almost wheezing sometimes. Then the past 2 days she's been sneezing. I have a vet appointment today, but was just wondering if anyone's cat has had the same problems, and what it is?

Hairy is only about 5 months, so he won't do it perfect every time. At least 8 times out of 10 though. He also comes to me whenever I call his name.

How many of you out there think that cats are a pest - pooing in your garden, digging up your plants etc.? I think there should be a law against cat owners if they do their business in your garden. The owners should be held responsible. Don't you agree?

I believe all animals should have a first and middle name, so I have decided to go with Pita as her first name. What do you think sounds good as a middle name. Again, she is grey and white, mews alot, and is always underfoot. She is soooo cute though...and pretty funny chasing my ankles when I am in the kitchen doing dishes, cooking, etc. She likes to attack my feet/ankles and play with me if I am standing up....she even chases me across the room.....very playful, and very cute!!

I found some free kittens in the paper and they are ADORABLE! But the problem is, they mew too much and I don't have time to take care of all these kittens. I have a 9 ft. boa constrictor as well and he is really friendly. I tried to let one of the kittens play with him and I think he was stolen because he is not in his cage anymore. Anyway, would it be ok to put 5 kittens in with the snake? I am worried they will get stolen or run away like the first one. What should I do with these kittens?

My wife and I got a cat about a year ago from the city shelter. The shelter estimated that she is about 3 years old. I'm not a cat person, but I love our cat.

But occassionally, our cat will become very insistent (meowing, crying) until one of us follows her into the kitchen. Then once we're there, she'll start to eat. She doesn't do this all the time, but I haven't been able to figure out a pattern. I know I don't know much about cat behavior (I'm more of a dog person), but my wife who has grown up with cats is mystified by the behavior as well.

Anyone got any ideas? Thanks.

This morning I driving to my house and accidently squished a mother cat. I was distracted by my little nephew because he kept throwing his baby bottle at me. I noticed the cat had 3 kittens. Do you think I should go and find them? I don't want to feel too guilty.

Whenever he can reach, my kitten wants to lick my nose, eyes and, lately, my lips. If I close my eyes he won't lick there, but he follows my nose when I move it away (and looks hurt at the same time). he especially want to so it in the morning and at night when we're trying to go to sleep.
Is he after the scent? Does he love me? Is he just strange?
My other kitten (both male) doesn't do it unless he's feeling REALLY affectionate - which isn't often.

No silly answers please.
