OK...first off...she's a girl. SHe is grey and white, although it's too close to tell if she is white with grey on her or grey with white on her. She has a pink nose, is pretty lively, and she mew's alot. She's also always underfoot, but I don't want to name her anything negative. I asked my boyfriend, and he said "Ganda" UGH!!!! NO WAY!! I said "Squirrel", he said no.I said "Stella" he said no. I said "Pistacio" and he said no because he can't say that word...any advice??Thanks!

Our cat will not stop pooping in our living room. When I find that she has pooped we will go to get her and she knows she did something wrong because she will pee and try to run away. We spank her so she knows not to do it again but she always does. One time she pooped right in front of us. Another time she all of the sudden peed on me for no reason. She is only 4 years old and she knows where her litter box is so why doesnt she use it? Is it because she is lazy? We took her to the vet and they said she was healthy so it isnt a health problem. She is a russian blue. Why is she doing this and how can I get her to stop?

I have a litter box in my room across from my bed. It seems that everytime im in there the cat heads into the box every 10 min. I've opened the box and cleaned it out and all thats in there are hard pellets. It also seems like he's peeing but only in small amounts. Then he digs for 5 min in his box. Could this be just constipation, or a UTI? Or, could it be just a dirty box? (though i've just put in new litter last week). I havn't changed the brand/type of litter, and he uses the crystals since he's an indoor cat. If it's just constipation, what should I give him to alleviate his tummy?

I was at my doctor's office, and we heard mewing coming from a drain pipe...sure enough, a tiny kitten was in there starving. I immediately offered to take the kitten, and I took her to the vet. He ran tests and such and she is healthy, just a little skinny.

She has never been around people before I don't think. I have some kitten food and am feeding it to her every 4 hours or so.

What are some tips on taking care of this kitten? Should I leave her alone when she cries, or carry her around with me? Any suggestions?

I don't know who to believe. My vet told me I should stop using the Clavamox after 14 days the internet says 10. Do I continue to give my cat the medication after the 10 days are finished? She really only has 1 more dosage after the 10the day. Does anyone have any clue.

My husband and I need to write a letter to our apartment building so we can be granted permission to have a cat. I want to include the fact that this is not a kitten, and has been already neutered, litter box trained and scratch post trained.

What other things should I include so that this can get approved ASAP??

All your answers were brilliant. The cat in question who is infested with fleas belongs to someone's son who is in prison and that is why they don't want him but don't want anyone else to have him. Taking the advice of everyone I obtained some Frontline today by pretending to be cat sitting whilst a friend was on holiday. I have just treated him with it. In the meantime I have spent from 6 o'clock until now, 9.45 combing him with a flea comb and managed to catch about 7 adult fleas and a few babies, he was loving every minute of it and so co-operative, it breaks my heart to have to let him out. Watch this space because I'm sure we haven't heard the last of this. I am going to lose sleep over this poor old kitty.

I have had my cat since September and lately she has been absolutely driving me nuts. She gets into everything and drags stuff out all over the house, she won't leave things alone that are on the coffee table and keeps knocking glasses over and spilling cola on the table and the carpet, she can't seem to learn not to chew on my hands and wakes me up at all hours climbing all over me while I'm trying to sleep.
I know....she is a cat and cats get into things. I understand, but this has gotten excessive. I tried the spray bottle when she bothers the things on the coffee table or claws the furnature but that doesn't work. She watches me while she does those things and when she sees me move (to spray) she runs away...ugh.
I know she wants attention when I get home and I give it to her. I let her lay on me a cuddle while I'm watching tv, so I'm not depriving her of attention. But I am at the end of my rope and can't take much more. Is there anything else I can try?

I've had my cat for about 5 -7 years now and only in the last two or three years, he had gotten this problem where after he eats something, he pukes it back up. I have to feed him very small amounts but at times, even if I feed him a little throughout the day, he still pukes up liquid. I also have to stop him from eating my dog's food, too. He'll sit at his food table and meow all day for food, even if I fed him previously. Please tell me a way to fix this?

My cat likes to meow between the hours of 3-6 am. She has only started this in the past 2 months or so. She is fixed. I give her 1/2 of her daily food at night just before I go to bed and she gobbles it almost immediately so she has nothing to go for the rest of the day. Sometimes she meows and has food still. I don't know what is wrong with her. My family is getting very frusterated by her and most of them want to get rid of her because she interupts sleep. Any suggestions

I have to put my cat down soon. I don't know how soon-I am taking it day by day. I have metacam for her to ease her pain-she has terminal cancer. I want to know if anyone's put their cat down, do you think I should be in the room with her? My mom offered to do it for me when her time comes, and I have to think about it. Anyone stay with their cat/dog while they were put down? Any help greatly appreciated.

I want to get a cat but I only have a small patio (on the ground floor) and i can't get a cat flap, so the cat wouldn't be able to go outside that much- are there any breeds of cat which generally prefer to stay indoors? Persian??

My cat has this weird thing she does where when I open the door for her to go out, she has to run around the sofa and dart out the door. Even if she's standing right by the door, she runs back and behind the sofa then out like a flash. It just seems unnecessary. What up with her?

My cat was urinating on the furniture and was tested for urinary tract infection, she tested negative but was given Prozac to help with a possible stress problem. She had prozac for 2 weeks then she was off of it. She hasn't taken any Prozac for about a month now. Now in the past few weeks she has stopped urinating on furniture and has started crying before she has a bowel movement. The BM is not overly solid and not diarhea like either, but there is blood in it. Any suggestions?

My cat has some sort of worms that are coming out of her behind. They're small (of course), white, and look sort of like little pieces of rice that squirm around. Are these hook worms or round worms or are they the same thing? Also, she's leaving little bits of what looks like sesame seeds wherever she sleeps - are these eggs? I've bought a package of Sergeant's Worm-Away to put in her food but haven't seen any progress so far. Any suggestions? I know....a trip to the vet, right?
