I don't know who to believe. My vet told me I should stop using the Clavamox after 14 days the internet says 10. Do I continue to give my cat the medication after the 10 days are finished? She really only has 1 more dosage after the 10the day. Does anyone have any clue.

Clavamox Oral Suspension
Discard unused portion after 10 days.

I really don't think it would hurt to keep it the extra few days. However, the handbook does say after 10 days. If you need to give it for 14 days, you could always get more.

Clavamox begins to lose it's potency after 10 days. It's not harmful after that, just not as effective. Go with the dosage and time your vet has prescribed.

I wish it could be discarded after about 3 days. That's when I am pretty sick of giving it twice a day and so is the cat.

You must give the whole bottle and it seems to go on forever. I always finish the bottle off and hope it is a long time before I have to give it again. You are supposed to keep it in the refrigerator.

Uh, you'd trust the internet over someone who has spent 10 years in veterinary school and who has seen your cat in person?
If the DOCTOR prescribes for 14 days, give it for fourteen days, otherwise you`ll be back at the clinic with the same problem in short order. I've seen it happen time after time.

I'd listen to your vet, the last dose won't kill your cat.
