My cat will climb up the frame of the door and hang there (sometimes almost to the top) until somebody lets him in, even if the door is open a few inches. I bet if cats could talk to each other they'd have quite a few weird stories to tell each other about their humans.

hello, I had a cat that could do this with human nutrition, out of a bowl or off a plate if it became into something he extremely enjoyed. i think of he became into attempting to cajole us that he deserved human nutrition... yet we in no way gave in, different than for an occasional take care of. I additionally had a cat that could placed his paw in his water bowl and lick the water off his paw. Now i assumed that became into extremely extraordinary. on occasion he might additionally take a seat on the rim of my tub mutually as i became into bathing, and insert paw into water and grab a drink for himself. when you consider that basically certainly one of my cats at modern-day shows this habit, i've got faith that's a recessive gene that those cats carry permitting paw manipulation to get on the "candies" grin. If it have been dominant all cats might have it. Troublesniffer Owned by cats for over 40 years Member Cat author's association.

It's just a habit for her, most likely some type of a game. She considers it necessary. Cat behavior is often weird and unexplainable to humans. Example: One of my cats feels the need to dig in his cat box excessively, or at least what I'd consider excessive based on the "normal" behavior of my other cats and their litter box habits but to him, it's very important; it seems to make him feel more comfortable with what he's doing.

I have a cat ( Bubba ), I am the only one he'll have anything to do with! He won't let anyone else but me touch him. Is that odd or what?

That is adorable! Some animals just have little ticks like that. Maybe she is superstitious....and running around the couch wards off evil cat spirits.... =0)

hehe i love cats. yeah i never heard of this kind of thing before. but i had a cat who had to turn circles before peeing. he also ate my cantaloupe. he was old when he died, close to 10 years. hehe good memories. but yeah sounds like your cat has a habit. nothing weird, just something your cats does.
