All your answers were brilliant. The cat in question who is infested with fleas belongs to someone's son who is in prison and that is why they don't want him but don't want anyone else to have him. Taking the advice of everyone I obtained some Frontline today by pretending to be cat sitting whilst a friend was on holiday. I have just treated him with it. In the meantime I have spent from 6 o'clock until now, 9.45 combing him with a flea comb and managed to catch about 7 adult fleas and a few babies, he was loving every minute of it and so co-operative, it breaks my heart to have to let him out. Watch this space because I'm sure we haven't heard the last of this. I am going to lose sleep over this poor old kitty.

I have a huge problem with young strays in my neibourhood, we go through two giant bags of whiskas a month and I have one indoor kitty!!! I feel your pain! If you can't take him in, find the poor guy another home (not in your neibourhood!)you don't want trouble on your doorstep. I know it's like "cat"knapping, but he really would be better off. I have a couple around here that I'd love to do the same for. Good Luck

in short Frontline is the perfect in spite of the undeniable fact that that's high priced and that i hate to be a billboard the stuff else the place isn't as stable. the reason which you will desire to truly very own the cat is that generally cats have reactions to the medicine, seizures rather. only bear in mind do no longer cope with the cat with greater suitable than one flea product, IE do no longer bathe in flea shampoo then placed a flea collar on suitable after, besides collars do no longer artwork. while you're that desperate you will desire to purchase the truthfully Frontline spray in a bottle and spay the cat in accordance to the bottle guidelines, that way you ought to apply it to different cats or canines which you will have and it relatively is no longer as stable yet does the trick each and every of the comparable.

Bless your heart for helping this kitty but if you think you have problems with fleas, that's nothing compared to what could happen if you let him outside!! He could get hit by a car, get attacked by another animal, someone could poison him, etc. Do this cat a big favor and keep him inside. He'll be healthier and safer!!!

well done,
the best thing to do is try to comb him every night if you can that way you will be able to see when most of the fleas have gone.
did you worm him as well, i only ask as my vet said it was best to front-line them and worm them at the same time.
i don't think it will be long before you have a new addition to your house.
it just shows there is some loving people out there that like cats.
