There's nothing at all wrong with wearing hooded tops and it really pecks my head that people just persume that if someones wearing one then there up tp no good. So many people are stuck up and just look down on others. I think hoodies look good and if its what people wanna wear then its up to them. Its like saying anyone with a suit on is posh. We shouldn't judge people by what they wear its just fasion.
And yeah sometimes people who are wearing them may be doing somthin dodgey but theres just as much chance as someone not wearing them doing the same thing.
People need to chill out and not judge other people by what they wear. Arrrr Im getting stressed out now!

I Wear A Hooded Top For Work, But People Know Me Where I Go Plus I Am Older,
No I Don’t Think They Should Discriminate Against You,
Just Be Polite And Prove Them Wrong,
You Are A Good Person, And That Not Everyone Who Wears A Hooded Top Is Bad.

I was wondering why this question was in the Cat section:) I think its because some people assume if you wear your hood up when inside that you are trying to hide something. Kinda like if someone walked into a store with a mask on even it was 20 degrees below zero and the person was honestly using it to keep warm. Doesnt mean its right but th eplaces have to protect their buisness and if it means banning some types of clothing then thats what they must do.

I taught in an urban school, and putting your hood up was considered a way of showing you were ready to fight. The businesses are just trying to be safe. Sadly, a few rotten apples spoiled the whole bunch.
It's scary though because when things like that go too far, it is true that individuals lose some of their rights.

I think it's wrong! I put a hoodie on after the gym and went to town, was in superdrug and a lady followed me the whole time!
But must admit a beefy guy in a hoodie with the hood up can be abit scary sometimes! lol.........
Oh and Tommys the disrespectful one, hes been so rude and nasty in some of his answers! to other users!

smokey firstly i agree with you that Tommy should not have called you disrespectful, you are only asking a question which is what this is all about BUT you should not retaliate by basically threatening him, that is out of order. In answer to your question i think the problem is that alot of young people have been wearing these hoodies and committing crime as you cant see their faces, so now anyone that wears one is tarred with the same brush, its the same as people think that all bull terrier dogs are nasty when they are not, one dog bites and they all get a bad name. its life I'm afraid.

unfortunately that's the way the world works.. but hoodies (the people who wear them) never seem to take responsibility for the bad reputation given to the top... I've seen rap videos full of people wearing hoodies acting aggressive at the fact that people think they are aggressive just because they are wearing hoodies...all your doing is proving what people think. brits may know Lady Sovereign.
when i was younger my brother used to wear a hoody and had no problem, but due to the way SOME modern kids act whilst wearing them we are all tarnished with the same brush.. i was in the local supermarket and i had to take my hat off because they have had problems with local kids hiding there faces when up to no good... and thats not good when you haven't done your hair....
dont take things too personal.. people think you are a git when you avoid large groups of kids.. but what would you do if you were by yourself.. yeah perhaps they are good bunch.. but what happens if not..you've got yourself in the s**t because you wanted to prove that you dont think they are bad..
i dont think you can win these days.
ps: hows your cat?

Wearing hoods is not wrong, But life as we know it is getting dangerous.Shop owners often are weary of a problem that may occur.I wear hoods but never on when I enter a store.

lol, u just made me laugh very loud (first time tonight lol), on a more serious note, i work in a co-op and we ask everybody to remove there hoods, including adults, elderly etc, this is because if anything happens to them or they do anything wrong they can be clearly identified on our cctv, the shop i work in is on estate that has a lot trouble and SOME teens come in abuse us and chuck things at us, they usually shop first though, then we go back through the cameras and we can see who they are, im dorry you feel we are targeting innocent people but it helps our shop a great deal
yes it was because of the cat thing, im laughing again now lol, its funny.

Its just because all the young people now are wearing these tops and are called hoodies.
A lot of the shops wont let them in because they go in with the hood pulled up and it looks like they are trying to hide theyre face.
