okay i have 2 cats, each has their own litter box. one of them has been peeing in their box, but pooping on the floor right outside of it. the litter is clean like i know she likes it, and the only reason i can think of that she isnt using it is because my other one has been going in it alot because shes too old to make it upstairs to her own box, and i know cat 1 is very meticulous about having it be all her own and not share. what should i do to make her use her litter box again? because im gettin sick of seeing little presents on the floor.

I brought the kitten home today and the cattle dog is trying to eat it.....really. The kitten is hissing at the dog. Now, we already have an older cat 15 year old Brittish Blue who's very mellow. She's hissed a little but isn't as aggressive as the dog. Can we make it work? HOW?

There is a boy and a girl. They are both tan with a bit darker paws, ears, and face. They are Burmese ragdolls. (look a tiny bit siamese)

I have 4 cats and they all have fleas. I was told that I should never use any flea stuff from sergeants, because it could harm or even kill your pet. I want to know if anyone else has heard this. I bought the spray but I'm scared to put it on them. Please help

I took in a stray and I'm trying to figure out her breed. She is blue point of some sort with long hair, flat face, and small ears. Would she be a himalayan or a persian. Or are those both the same thing?

My 4 month old kitten recently spent a weekend with my parents. A day after she came back I noticed that her stomach had grown outward on both sides, significantly. It looks like she has two small apples protruding from her sides, near her back leg joints. I am concerned because she is tiny and the masses are rather large. Also, since I've noticed this she has been more tired than usual and not very playful. She is eating and using her litter like normal. Any ideas? The vet isn't open until Monday and I'm a bit concerned. Thanks!

I've some young 4 week old kittens & Mum's milk has run low & so I'm topping them up using a kitten gloop recipe.

I've read about the beneficial properties of honey & how good it can be BUT I've also read that honey should not be given to babies because it can contain a spore of the bacterium Clostridium Botulinum. This can cause a rare form of food poisoning (botulism) in babies.

So, what I wondered was ... is it safe to use with kittens?

I'm a Veterinarian but this defies my years of behavioral studies. Darned cats!

I bottle-fed my newest kitty, a black and white long hair named "melody" since before her eyes opened. She's weaned from the bottle, but she's not weaned from ME.

She wants to suck on my chin or ear lobe. I don't let her, but she'll stop purring and bite me when I correct her. then she'll skulk away and pout, then come back and try again. She's 16 weeks old and she's interrupting my sleep, The stubborn little bugger! When I lock her out she scratches the door and yells. I've started sleeping in a sleeping bag with my head under a pillow!

HELP!

Saw`a mouse last night in the bathroom (have very old house and live opp a forest) locked the cat in there last night. However, she has three legs, is a crap cat and didn't catch anything. How do I keep the cats pride and get rid of the pesky grey fiend?

Even though it says they are the same, it is not. It is browner, and doesn't work nearly as well. Wilbur, my cat, pointed it out to me.

okey, so it's gray with black stripes all over it! I think I read somewhere that it has a close relative who's a bobcat. And what else... she eats a lot and she's very fat. She likes to meow a lot too.

I heard from a lot of people that cat's view their caretakers as their parents, which is why they come up to us when they need something (water changed,etc.). For all the cat lover's/owner's out there, what do you think of this??
