I agree with most everyone else - your little kitten is lucky to rescued & lucky to be alive - however, just in case you wanted something a little different from lucky, I visited a website & have found some (baby) names that also mean lucky - so how about calling him or her one of these:
Asher, Eugene, Fausty, Gada, Mali, Yuki or Zada?
Or if you want a black related name, how about:
Treacle, Ebony, Raven, Donnelly, Corbin, Jett, Kalli, Kass, Kiera, Mauli, Smith or Sullivan?
(Just noticed that two of those sound very similar - Mali & Mauli - lucky & black (lol) - so how about, if it turns out to be a little girl - Molly?)
And finally, Halloween related:
Spooky, Boo, Broomstick, Pumpkin or Bat?
Hope the kitten grows up to live a long & very happy life.

I know this name has been suggested a lot of times already but LUCKY is a great name, When i was young we took in an abandoned cat , The owners had moved house and left her behind to fend for herself, We were lucky enough that she found us and adopted us as her new family,so we called her lucky to remind us how lucky we were that she had chosen to come and live with us.

lucky ,because it is lucky to have you as its owner,and you are lucky to have rescued a cute kitty.also it is lucky to have youas its rescuer. or you could name it jinx because of the superstiton about the black cats crossing your path and giving you bad luck. or willow(from buffy,she did DARK magic,get it dark,since your cat is black) or salem or sabrina if you want another witches name.
you are a good person for rescueing that kitten,if it wasnt rescued,maybe it would have gotten put to sleep or hit by a car
