I discovered that my cat is crazy for bananas. Whenever I eat one, she's next to me right away and tries to get some. I give her a piece every once in awhile. She generally likes fruit, but bananas are her obsession! ;o)
But I'm not sure if it's good for her.
Can I give her fruit every now and then or will it hurt her?

About 2 years ago someone abandoned a cat and she found her way into my backyard. I felt sorry for her and fed and watered her and she has been back there ever since. I already had a couple of pets in my home and really didn't want anymore. She is very sweet and talkative and endearing. I simply cannot leave her out there anymore nor do I want to chance calling animal control and having her put down so I've decided to bring her to a Vet and have her examined so as not to put my current pets in jeopardy and bring her in.

I would like you guys to help give her a unique name to reflect her poor misfortune of being abandoned and now finding a home.

I can think of ordinary names but want something unique and easy to say and for her to respond to. I've been calling her Cat but feel she deserves more then that.

Please help -- I no longer have a cat, but there is fresh cat urine in the carpet. I blotted up the urine as much as possible before I totally soaked (and I mean SOAKED) the area with a very expensive cat-urine odor eliminator (Nature's Miracle). Luckily under the floor is a crawl space, so no biggie soaking the area. I waited a day and then I soaked the area with white vinegar (my mom's suggestion). THAT smell just about killed all of us, so I soaked that up with towels, and now that the carpet is somewhat dry again, I can again smell the cat urine. HELP!

My fiance lost his cat to cancer 3weeks ago. It was very hard and painful for the both of us. He had her for 13yrs. and they were the best of friends. He says he doesn't want another cat box in this house but he is missing the affection of a soft furry buddy. I don't want to upset him but I hate seeing him like this.

Okay yesterday morning I spent all morning in the ER with my 6 yo son after my 1 year old cat attacked him. He had just finished petting the cat in the kitchen and came into the living room, sat down on the couch and watched TV. Our cat came in and jumped on his leg and tried to bite him! My son picked up an umbrella sitting nearby and held it out till I could get to him. As soon as he put the umbrella down the cat leaped up and bit my son's arm leaving 4 deep gashes in his upper arm! We got this cat as a stray a year ago and with my mother's passing, selling of the house and moving I haven't had the chance to take him to get his shots and neutered. The last 2 days I've kept him outside because he was spraying everywhere in the house. They started my son on rabies vaccine just to be sure he's not infected. I have the cat in a crate and I am observing him, which Animal control told me to do. Our cat is whining 24/7 to get out. Why in the world would he attack my son like this?

We have a 10 years old spayed tortie who has lived with both my parents and my family about equally. She was always quiet, and you never saw her except at mealtimes. When my parents moved, they left her with us, and she just seems to have gone through a total personality change. She's ALWAYS either in my lap, or following me around, and she meows ALL THE TIME!! She's never acted like this before, and I'm kind of worried. She is very well fed, up to date on her shots, there have not been any major changes in our lives and like I said, she's lived with us before. What could possibly be causing this?

my cat goes walkies with me. He smells all the other animal scents (dogs and other cats) growls and sprays. I am concerned that this emoting anger (growling and hissing) regularly will have an adverse effect to the cat in the long run.

I have 3 cats. We do not believe in declawing so we have a lot of nails to trim. Two of them will tolerate it fairly well but one little female goes ballistic. She is afraid of her own shadow and always has been. But she is also very affectionate when it is on her terms. I have to do the nails by myself sometimes and that is a a real challenge. HELP!
