In the animal world once the children are weaned the mother's job is done. She doesn't really want them around especially if they are continuing to demand motherly attentions from her. As an animal she is actually now prepared to go off on her own and to mate again and have more offspring.

So it is good that she is spayed and will not have to perform that chore again.

So hissing is quite normal for her now. Are you keeping some of the kittens or finding homes for them? Some mother cats will bond eventually with a kitten if it matures in her home.

Most cats will growl and hiss when an new cat is brought into the home. It takes a while usually several days for them to get used to each other

how old are the kittens now?? she is probably weaning them...

if you had her declawed at the time of the spay then the declaw is likely the reason as declawed cats frequently become more agressive

my guess is the kittens are old enough for weaning and she is doing that..

thank you for spaying your kitty .

Yes she feels like she isn't a mom anymore and the kittens is probably old enough to look after themselves. It's time they crow up.
