I recently noticed my cat drinking more water than before, so I had my vet do a blood draw and everything was pretty good there. She decided to prescribe anti-biotics in case there was a UTI, but my cat is still drinking about the same amount. I recently decided to measure it, and it appears to be about 6-8 ounces per day. She is 7 lbs or so. She eats about an equal amount of dry and canned food plus I give her a fiber supplement. I am suspecting that she may have been previously sneaking water out of the swimming pool, but the water has been so warm lately that maybe she stopped that and is only drinking indoors. I've tried searching around and can't seem to find any guidelines for what might be a normal amount for a cat to drink. Thanks for your help. Terry

My cat is about 3 years old. Lately one of her ears have been really bugging her. She has it down unlike the other one, and she scratches, and shakes her head a lot. I don't think it's earmites because she doesn't act like its painful. What could it be???

i know that kittens are generally have very short attention spans, and do a lot of wierd stuff when they're playing. but, every once in a while- he SERIOUSLY starts tripping b*lls. again, i'm not talking about your normal kitten wierdness- he gets a very frightened look in his eyes, and acts like there's some sort of invisible entity tormenting him. i've heard that cats have a gland in their brain that releases a chemical that has a similar effect on the cat as LSD has on a human. is my cat just playing, or is he traversing the astral plane?

Our boy cat Snowbell prefers my husband over everyone else in the family. The cat constantly grooms my husband when my husband sleeps by licking his hair on his head. He never tries this, though, when my husband is awake. Also, the cat cries whenever he can't find my husband. What's up with this behavior and is it normal?

Yesterday, I was trying to get my cat into her carrier to take her to the vet. She knows what the box means, and she freaked out, giving me a huge, deep gash in my arm.
My cat & I are close, and she's very loving. Do you think she understands that she unjured me?
