This has been going on for years. The vet says not to worry, but the cat is beginning to look very thin. He's happy, has a very shiny coat, not at all lathargic and has a very healthy appitite, gobbling up his food so fast he practically inhales it! I'm worried.

I have taken her to the vet before but he couldn't find anything wrong. She's long haired if that would have anything to do with it. Her breath seriously smells like a dead animal.

how common are umbilical hernias in cats and do they shrink or close on their own or should it be surgically repaired? My female had the same problem and the vet stitched it up it while they were fixing her, but since my kitten is a male it would cost more to fix since neutering a male involves no abdominal incisions...
how likely is it that it will resolve on it's own without any problems?

Is your Cat specific about his food and when he gets it?

At 5:05 am on the dot my Tabby never misses a beat he has to
have his tuna for breakfeast otherwise he won't shut up for the whole hour.

At 11:00 am he knows it's time for lunch I have to prepare his chicken in a certain way otherwise he won't eat it must be boiled or marinated the way he likes it. I use to buy him packaged chicken breast from costo if I bought it from any other place or tried tricking him by switching brands on him he'd smell the meat and wouldn't touch it (no fooling him)

His bowl always has to have dried food in it he checks to make sure I've taken care of that.

i've been thinking about getting a kitten, however my cat is nearly 5 years old and she has never been around other cats. she is indoor only and has seen cats through the window. she lived with two dogs for 3 years and would attack them. i can't get a dog because my association will not allow it. she is very shy though around people. i'm not sure how she will react. do you think that this will go well if i introduce another cat? or should i not even bother?

i guess this is a more advice type of question so here goes...i have 5 cats 4 are 10mo and 1 is 5yrs old...i have 1 who is very vicious to his other siblings, i think its due to the number of cats in such a limited area..im not allowed to have ANY pets at ALL! so if worse comes to worse due to my selfishness in keeping them instead of giving them to good homes as kittens where at least they get a chance, they may need to go to a shelter...i love them so very much and i cant stomach the thought of them leaving my home..but today i got a 1 in a million offer from a awsome couple to take my big vicious boy simba....i kno its for the best for him and are family but i just feel i cant doit...am i being selfish? i mean i realize this is really special of these people to b willing to except a adult cat over a baby kitten, not to mencion rare...i just love him...will he be depressed? will he be ok? will he be happier being the only cat? please help should i let him go? thanks so much!

Is it possible that cats will take over the world in the year 2015, or is my cat wrong. Cuz she said they would. And then dogs would be there slaves. They would all go to the moon and play poker as they sip Earl Grey. It would be like ancient rome only not.

My phsycolligist said that her cat is a criminal mastermind and he will rule us all, with her as his foot rest. Is this really gonna hapen?

My poor poor little kitten took a sudden turn for the worse yesterday. She had a grub in her neck a month ago and has since recovered (with vet & antibiotic). Now, however, she is REALLY sick - fever, walking around in cirlces, has a lazy paw, glazed over eyes, sleeping all the time. The Vet thinks she must have another grub that has migrated to her brain. Has this ever happened to anyone's pet before? The vet didn't seem to think it was too serious - he took her in for observation for a day and half and is giving her antibiotics. We now have her home and her condition hasn't improved. Vet said once the grub works it's way out (burrows a breathing hole through her skin) she should be okay. This is really hard to believe, since she now seems inches away from death. We are so sad, especially b/c we can't do anything. We're feeding her with an eyedropper b/c she can't eat. And we've got antibiotics for her twice a day. Help! Please someone tell me some good news. Thanks.

I recently adopted a kitty I say kitty because when I first got her I thought she was 2 years old. Come to find out after she was spayed she is only 7 months old! I currently live in a NYC studio apartment. It has a seperate kitchen and bath so it's not all "one" room. There is a Huge window that she can see that over looks trees and a court yard (we are only on the 2nd floor). There are tons of toys to keep her occupied during the day. I love my apt I just hope she isn't bored or hates living there because it's so small. I know it's not really a question but I am just looking for suggestions to make sure she doesn't get depressed and is okay living in a small space. Thanks for your help!

We just adopted two cats both are four years old neutered & declawed After one week in our home the are still very jumpy even though the were raise together & we were told they could not be adopted separately one cat spends the entire day under the bed the other will socialize but while sitting on your lap for no reason will jumps up very aggressively and runs away. At one point he rip a gash in my wife leg while jumping off the chair. We really like the cats & would not like to bring the back to the shelter. Any help would be appreciated.

the previous owners had cats that marked their territory on the walls and they are ruined. Will my femal cat spray as well becuse she smells the other cats urine? Do female cats spray? I know if we clean it she will still be able to smell it. Can I cover up the smell from her? Will she ruin the walls again?

I have a kitten/cat which is now about 4months old, it is eating and drinking food and water well and seems to be in good health. The strange thing is that whenever possible the kitten tries to what I can only imagine is suckle, it was massaging with its claws and really sucking on a skin-tag I have under my arm and when my husband had no t-shirt on it attempted to suckle his nipple, the cat now nibbles before sucking my earlobe whilst purring away noisily and and then fall asleep quite contentedly, is this usual and does it mean that the kitten is in some way lacking something.
