Please understand that cats sleep about 20 hours a day. Yes, 20 hours!!! The time she is awake and with you is all she really needs to be happy. The toys you have for her are fine and a window is a cat's idea of a really great time.
You sound like a great cat mom, don't worry so much, just enjoy her.
Hope this helps.

Sounds like you are doing a great job and I'm sure she loves it so much more than a shelter. Rotate her toys so she doesn't get bored....and they don't need to be expensive. I gave my cat the old toilet paper roll this morning and he had fun for an hour. Crush paper into a ball and she will love you forever. I would maybe buy her something she can climb on and play in, but other than that, she will be happy. They sleep 18 hours a day anyway. Keep up the good work!

If you play with her several times a day for at least 20 minutes at a time, she will be fine. She does need exercise, so get some yarn and swing the strand over her head so she can try to catch it. She will get bored with her toys unless you play with her, too. Cats do not like loud noises, so keep the noise level down. When you put the dishes away (silverware, etc) don't clank them any more than you have to. She needs a nice quiet place to go when she wants to be alone. Good luck.

I have a cat as well who mostly hangs out in my room all of the time anyway, although i live in a 3 bdrm house. They can be purrrrfectly content where ever they are. If you're worried about boredom or lonliness, you may try leaving the TV on low volume while you're gone so he/she will feel like there is some action going on there. I leave Animal Planet on for my cat if I know I'm going to be gone a while.

the wonderful thing about kitties is that they don't need a lot to keep them happy. Show them love, keep their area clean and they'll be happy. Cats sleep up to 18 hours a day anyway, so I'm sure she'll find something to do with her extra six hours ;)

Sometimes it takes cats a while to get adjusted to a new home. Sounds like you're doing everything right: giving him lots of love and fun things to play with. The only thing you might want to consider is to have another cat so they have each other for companionship.

Sure, sounds like you have a nice apartment and take good care of her! I am sure she loves living w/ you. Kittys do not require large spaces. As long as she has you and toys sounds like she'll be great! don't worry!

Animals can be unhappy where they live, but I'm sure she's perfectly fine. She's way better off with you in an apartment than in a shelter, don't you think? I do. She's lucky she has so many toys and someone who cares about her.

i adopted an older kitten too...i've got a big house for her to play in...
but she's always trying to get outside... she's not depressed or anything... its just in their nature to want to be outdoors...
maybe she needs a companion
but i doubt that she HATES it there... its alot better than being in a cage... or out in the streets...
sounds like you're doing everything right to make her comfortable...
she probably is...
