Some cats don't like catnip. One of my cats only like the dried up kind. But some of the others like the fresh kind, they ate the plant i bought the day i got it. But a couple of my cat,s don't like any of it. So it depends, test your cat, get a little of both and see which he prefers. Not all cats are the same.

My cat prefers fresh catnip. Just make SURE it's catnip. There's a poisonous plant that looks like catnip to the untrained eye. They probably wouldn't eat it, but just in case...

cats have different preferences so you should put some fresh catnip and some dried catnip in front of your cat and see which one gets the most attention

Some cats don't even like catnip. You can buy "cat grass" that you grow in a little container that cats like to chew on. You can also grow fresh catnip outside.

They like the dried stuff well enough - but the fresh stuff works, too. My cats like to roll around in it before they eat it. Then they wander off and go sleep off their drunkenness.

yeah cats usuallt love the smell my cat rolls in it if i sprinkle some right onto the carpet

well all the strays in my neighborhood use to come to my cat nip plant outside but then we got cyotes and it wasnt good so if u get it keep it in
