its pure black with goldish colored eyes. We dont know yet if its a male or female, because we are letting it adjust a little bit before handling it...
Got any names for male or female???? Help me out!!

This kitten, along with its mother, and another feral cat, will be "fixed" on Weds.
As for the nature of this kitten, it allows me to pet it, and finds it to be calming & stimulating.... To domesticate this baby, should be simple.

I picked up the kitten, the mystery is over, its a GIRL! She shivered at first, but, ended up purring by the time I put her back into her carrier..... Sweeeeet!

Midnight, Charcoal, Briquette, Snowball, Snowflake, Soot, Ash, Ashes, Ember, Coal, Rainbow....
of course.. if you wait for the personality to pop out you can give it different types of names... Like the black cat that I named Mouse because he loved cheese and would fight you for it (as a kitten).

Are you planning on keeping the kitten? If so, you can name it Bear, or Midnight if it's a boy, and Pepper if its' a girl. Actually Midnight would work for male and female. Onyx would be a good name for a female. If you aren't going to keep it, check into the SPCA, or local vet and see if they have an adoption program you can enroll the kitty in. Good luck.

I bet your kitten is really cute!I have a black cat with gold eyes and call him salem. You can also call him midnight! Sometimes if they are use to being outside, or even born outside it may take sometime for him to get use to you. Make sure a vet checks him out good, and he will slowly adjust to being around you. Its really safer for a cat if you keep him indoors so he does not pick up disease, and fleas, and get hurt in cat fights and have other health problems. Give him or her kitten food, and he will learn to trust you, and in no time at all, he will be your best friend!

put the kitten in a cage and take it to animal control A S A P . animals can be born with rabbie's . and show no sign's of rabbie's . dont handle any stray or strange animal's . it's crazy to play with your life over a kitten , if it does have rabbie's it will die no matter what you do ..this is no bull s*** if you dont want to trust this info call your animal control or call your vet

The sooner you start handling it the better. Leave the name calling until you have a better idea of its nature, then without warning a name will come to you. Good on you, please if it turns out to be a female, have her de-sexed.

one night we were about to take a exit onto the ramp on the highway and it was my mom and dads anniversary and we say a white cat and my mom got out of the car and called it and it jumped into her arms and we named her ani short for anniversary. we got a stray cat that was the same characteristics as the one yall found and we named her smokey or ck for church kitty cuz she is sweet and we got her from our church
