my cat years ago did the same thing, not to encourage it, but try to put a large potted plant near the spot and maybe she will urinate in the plant soil instead of your carpet!!!

Use a really good cleaner on the spot. Clean a wide circle around it as well. Then cover it with aluminum foil. Cats hate walking on it. You gotta cover the whole area, she might decide that near is good enough. At least a foot in diameter around the spot.
If it is a particular room, is there a way to keep the door closed or something. You can get a screen door and put it on even if it is in the house.
Good luck

You might try carefully laying some sort of strong (duct, for instance) tape on top of that area. If the cat insist on walking over there to urinate. He or she will walk right onto that tape and get in a bit of a tangle. After a few times of doing that, the cat may decide to explore other options. Just a thought. :)

you need to clean that spot really good until you can't smell anything, or else she'll keep going in that spot cuz it's "her territory". and here's something. when you see her about to do it, take her outside or to her litter box and put her down and watch her and hold her there and tell her stuff that has the same point as this is your bathroom.

If you haven't taken her to the Vets yet, you will probably find that she is diabetic. You really have a problem cat. I don't know how well you like this cat, or how old she is, but if it was me, I would have her put down, because I do not have the money to put into a diabetic cat, when my husband is also diabetic. For us there is no choice.

have you recently had a new baby or has something new changed in your life? cats in general are very jealous creatures she/he may be doing this to get your attention or she may have a kidney infections. check the odor of the urine if it is stronger than usual and you know she has a known problem she may not be misbehaving. try putting a potted plant or bookcase in said corner to deter reoccurence.

You might try putting a litter box over the spot, then if she decides to "go" there, you won't have a "clean up" to do.

she may have a bladder infection or other medical problem - my dog (who is perfectly behaved) went through a time where she would pee in the same spot no matter what - turns out she had a bladder infection and just didn't really have any control even though we took her out enough - probably should check with your vet...

try putting her litter box in that spot, that should help, other wise stick her nose in it, stirnly say no, and carry her to the litter box, that one worked for my cat.
