She's lived most of her 14 years outside, and has never been picked up except to catch and spay her and return her outside. I've taken her in. She likes to be petted.

My cat had her baby yesterday and I thought everything was okay, but I looked today and she doesn't have any milk to feed the baby! I've squeezed her and normally something comes out, but nothing. The poor thing is crying a lot because I don't think it has eaten at all. She tries to lay down with the baby and feed it, but I don't think she can. Any ideas why she's like this or ways to fix it? Am I doing something wrong?

I found one of his "canine" teeth on the ground. He lost it somehow throughout the night. Im curious, will he grow it back?

I had my cat's teeth cleaned about a month ago. She seemed fine until 2 weeks later she kept swallowing a lot. I gave her hair ball medicine and it seemed to go away. Now she's doing it again. She keeps swallowing and some of the time her throat sounds hoarse. Her nose is running too.

I took her to the vet today and they did an x-ray to make sure she doesn't have anything caught in her throat. The x-ray looked fine she said but she said there tonsils can become infected. But that they are so far back they can't see them by just looking in there mouth. She gave me antibiotics for my kitty but said if it doesn't get better to bring her back and they'll look down her throat with some sort of scope type thing.

So have any of you had this problem after having your cats teeth cleaned. She's 8 years old and has never been like this before. All I can think is her throat got really irritated and possible infected from something to do with that.

this male cat has more energy at 4am than the 8 year old does all day. I think he is wearing her out physically.

I was given two kittens that were abandoned from a co-op in Ontario. One of the two kittens, Panama, I had intentified as a Silver Bengal I think (she has the identical markings of one from pictures I have seen). The second kitten, Ginger, is mostly covered by the colors black, tan/brown and some white (chest, bit of the belly and paws). The tan/brown and black don't seem to have a set pattern on her body but at the same time they do have a pattern if that makes sense. Her face is literally half black on one side and tan/brown on the other. She reminds me of a calico but she doesn't look like one. How can I tell what breed she is or if she is just a mixed breed. As I said I know the other kitten I have is a Silver Bengal or so pictures have shown me, I really would like to identify my kittens breed if possible. I have seen pictures of the tortiseshell breed and even though colors are bang on... the pattern isn't nor is the face.

I've got two adult cats, but they're at least a couple of months old when I got them. My girlfriend took this orphaned kittie yesterday (sure looked for a mother first, no luck :( and she's taking care of it now... It's still blind, which means, it's only a few days old... I did read some really scary stuff about caring for a cat this young, so: Any professional tips? What we know so far, is how to make it urinate (glad I found that, didn't know!) and about keeping it warm (up to 92F), we'll be taking it to a vet first thing tomorrow... Unfortunately, I'm living in Bulgaria, and I doubt I'll be able to find proper milk though (I read something about using goat milk as a substitute?? - right now we're feeding with warmed up standard cardbox milk (pasteureised of course) Anything else crucial that we should know?? THANKS!!!

I believe my cat is killing them...this is her first litter...I think she was eating one of them when I came back to check while at work...She had 4 kittens this morning or sometime last night...3 were alive and 1 was dead; I put it in the trash outside. I left her nursing three kittens in the basket that were alive and well, and even with all the blood, she seemed to be doing ok...I didn't know that she wasn't finished! About 2 pm, I returned home to check on her only to find that not only did she have 2 more kittens, but one of the first 3 kittens in the basket was dead and partly eaten...one of the second 2 was lying dead by her litter box and the other one was loudly meowing 5 feet away in the corner of the room. I removed the 2 dead kittens and put the alive one back in the basket with the alive two remaining. I was afraid to let my cat stay with them when I had to go back to work. I locked my cat in the computer room away from the kittens until I got home...What's happening?
