Depends upon a number of facts. 1) Affordability. Can a person can afford to take properly of cats including medical care. 2) Size of the living space. Obviously a small apartment would be suitable for one cat. A big house - maybe 2 or 3. Anything more than 3 is asking for a trouble. Cats are territorial creatures, and some cats can coexist with others, while other cats won t. 3) Personality of the cats. Depends upon each cats.

I relatively have 8 cats. in case you're preserving some kittens be sure which you do get all of them spayed or neutered. All 8 of my cats are healthful and glued. maximum individuals call me the loopy cat woman. i do no longer care i admire cats, i might have greater placed only have not got the money. in case you could shelter them precise. i might say 3 or 4 is often what human beings have. guess i'm no longer popular. :)

Cats are social, so they need a friend, exspecially if you gone at work or school for most of the day. A good guide line to the limit of cats to get is 1 for every bedroom and bathroom. So if you had 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, 3 would be a good limit.

I have one right now and I always have because it will always play with you. Also if you already have one cat and you have had it for a while if you bring another cat into the family the previous cat could get depressed thinking that you do not love it anymore. Actually I have no idea what that has to do with anything but ok

As long as they all get along the number doesn't really matter. Its just the more you have the more its going to cost you in upkeep. We had 6 at one time which was really too many, but one had to stay in my room all the time because she didn't get along with the others, and one was shy and always hid in the garage, so it was like having 4. My parents have 4 now which is a good number. We had two for the longest time which was fun, and my stepmom had 3 on her own for awhile. I currently have one little kitten which is also fun because its just me and him. Are you getting that there's no definitive answer? :)

3. If one cat wants to be alone, then the other 2 have someone to play with.
