Yes, my kitty Tucker did that, I have NO idea why, but it was pretty frustrating, what worked for him is that I put an uncovered litterbox next to the tub.

Good Luck!

I have the same problem with a fixed female. She uses the tub or the bathroom sinks to pee and poops in the box. She's an indoor/outdoor cat. It makes me soooooooooo mad when she does it. I told my boyfriend (it's his cat) she better cut it out or she's out! I have no idea why she does it or how to stop it. But it's also better she does it there then on the carpet or other stainable surfaces. Let's just say I clean the bathroom alot!!

My male, fixed cat, O'Malley does this sometimes but, he always pees down the drain. I'm not sure why but, I've always been thankful it is down the drain. My theory is that it has something to do with the fact that he knows what we use the bathroom for & is intimidated by the size of the toilet so he uses the tub drain.

I have a female cat that occasionally does this, but she makes it a point to pee down the drain. Hey, I can't complain. Better peeing down the bathtub drain than on the carpet or floor.

Never heard of that, but if its ok with you, its ok I guess.
At least you can rinse out the tub. Just make sure he doesn't start it up anywhere else in the future.

We have many males who are fixed, but don't know it. The only thing different is they can't make babies anymore. Male units are male units.

No, I don't. But it could be the sign of an infection or some health problem. That is one of the ways they let you know when something's not right.
