My cat runs and hides from people during the day, but loves to play and act crazy at night, is that normal?

I have had Ms. Mousey for a little over a year, she had babies and I gave all of them away to good homes except for 2 of them that I kept. Now they have all disapeared except for Pumpkin (no relation to them). I have recently discovered that I have a mother hawk wingspand of about 2 1/2 - 3 foot that has made a nest in a tree next to our house. Do you think that she fed her babies my babies?

He is a pedigree Berman. He has constant access to his litter tray via a cat flap. We clean up the tray every day. We are regularly visited by a very friendly neighbour's cat (who we also adore). Our cat is not friendly with this one.

I looked it over for fleas and it appeared not to have any. I had it in my garage and when I opened the door to the house it got loose and is now locked in my bedroom and bathroom area with me and my three cats. I believe it's female, but it will no longer allow me to get close enough to check it out. My boyfriend won't let me keep her or spend ANY money on her. I need to adopt her out. Am I doing everything right? Any tips? I can't find a vet to look at her for free. Please help!

My cat has 3 babies. She has never been bred with another cat. How? She has 3 small stuffed animals, cat toys. When she is in heat, she cries and cries, especially if she can't find her 'babies'. there have been times when I have been up at 2am helping her find them so that she will go to sleep. She cleans them, takes them into the cat box with her, takes them to her food dish, and sleeps with them. Only for a few days, then she goes back to silly self.

We live in a multi-cat house and although he was very affectionate, always in and out of the house all day long, he was nervous and did not like the four latest additions to our cat family. He sprayed in our home frequently. He is two years old and we live in the courntryside surrounded by fields. Is two months very long for a cat to go missing? I have put up posters, searched the country lanes, informed our vets etc. Can cats climb up into car engines as two cars left from here that morning? Also, I have heard that cats do not notice time passing and so two months is not long at all?

Luckily my kitten isn't doing this but from reading the answers to some of the questions posed, you hear a lot that when cats are really hurt or are ready to die, they often go to hide before this. Does anyone know why they do this? What's the reason behind it?

My husband I went away for the weekend (we left Friday morning and came back Sunday afternoon). We had a friend (female) come over on Saturday to give the cat some love and on Sunday, our Landlady came over with new tenants to our apartment to take measurements.

When we got back, our 1.5 y/o female (spayed) cat was very jumpy and excitable the afternoon we came back but we put that down to her being happy to see us.

However, she has been less affectionate toward my husband since our return and even jumped up and bit him on that hand this morning (something she doesn't normally do). I know that sometimes a cat may be affected by bad experiences and I wonder if one of the new tenants was male and may have scared/hurt her somehow, but I don't know if one short/small incident could cause her extreme change in attitude!

Please help! Before this, she definitely preferred to hang out with my husband, so this is very upsetting to him!
