We live in a multi-cat house and although he was very affectionate, always in and out of the house all day long, he was nervous and did not like the four latest additions to our cat family. He sprayed in our home frequently. He is two years old and we live in the courntryside surrounded by fields. Is two months very long for a cat to go missing? I have put up posters, searched the country lanes, informed our vets etc. Can cats climb up into car engines as two cars left from here that morning? Also, I have heard that cats do not notice time passing and so two months is not long at all?

Sometimes cats get very annoyed with other cats coming into the house. If he was very upset he could have decided to move out. Someone might have taken him in thinking he was a stray but if he could get out he should have returned. My cats sometimes would get into someones cellar or garage and get locked in for days and I would have to go searching for them. One of my cats did get into the underside of a vehicle and was driven all over the place for one whole day. When the owner of the car finally came back later that night, I heard faint meowing coming from under the car. He had gotten inside the wheel well and had made quite a trip for himself. He was lucky to have stayed in the car because if he had gotten out, I would never have found him. If you live in an area that is wooded or farm area, your cat might have been grabbed by a coyote or fisher cat. Hopefully that is not the case and he might show up. Good luck with the search and I hope it turns out for the better.

A very good chance. I know of many, many cats that came back after long stretches. I've worked with vets for over 20 years so have heard many stories. I personally had one come back after 3 months with a broken tail. Cats will go off and hide when injured. Keep the faith!

in good structure? How do you artwork that out at the same time as they take a seat on their *** all day. shall all of us lock ourselves in penal complex cells so we stay longer... yeh acceptable. Does he nonetheless come back ok besides the undeniable fact that? If he comes back then merely let him do as he pleases :) My previous male cat used to vanish for days and then he'd be back... its of their nature. Do any of your neighbours leave of nutrition etc? per chance that has were given him wondering he has various residences... Do you've a cat flap? per chance he won't be able to get in at the same time as he needs so he seems in different places for preserve... i imagine i could try protecting him in for a month or 2 and then let him ask your self out and word how he behaves.

maybe someone stole your cat. that happened to my sister. a cat climbed into my mom's car engine, it really hurt the cat, something inside the car sliced his neck and he had to get stitches. if its an outdoor cat and used to wandering, maybe he wandered into some trouble, a trap or something. also, if he doesn't have a collar, then maybe he got picked up by animal control.

well the guy at the shelter told me that all cats usually don't go further than 20 feet away from the house.
