Yes, I do feel something has has happened to the cat by a male. Usually a cat would not go back to the same situation after he gets hurt. He would stay far away. For example, my sister's cat bit a wire while playing with it and it shocked him that he fell on the floor on his side, I jumped up and shouted for my sister. I took the cat to the restroom and wet his head with cold water which slightly revived him. After a few minutes, he was feeling better, but he would not even walk close to where that wire was. He would not even walk on the floor. He walked on the back of the chair. If we tried to get him to walk on the floor anywhere in that area, he would get upset and try to bite. Cats don't just change just like that from someone they are used to being with all the time.

I don't know how long you've been back (or if you've left the cat in the past), but I have had cats that become ticked at me for leaving them. They will be very standoffish and not want anything to do with me for a few days to a week. If your husband is usually the cat's favorite person she could be very upset with him for leaving her.
I guess it's possble the cat had a negative male experience while you were away -- but I think it's odd for one incident to cause such a change.

There really is no way to figure out what happened. It would only be a guess on anyones part. Patience is the key here. She will come back around in time. Meanwhile have your husband feed her. Let him do most of the petting and the such for a while. Allow her time to bond with him again. Also if he has changed soap, or cologne or shampoo or anything that has a scent be sure to change it back.

one million. Cat urine smells extremely if the cat is an entire male. If he's, have him neutered! If it extremely is a woman, likewise! If that is already neutered, get some sepiolite to sprinkle interior the backside of the cat field. 2. The cat is watching you, no longer staring. He is conscious you dislike him and is making an attempt to discern you out. And he's not "sneaking up on you"--cats have paws that do no longer make noise. positioned a bell on his collar so which you would be able to pay attention him coming. Cat collars with bells are very, very much less high priced and common to get. Cats is additionally perverse, putting around the guy they comprehend would not like cats. in case you attempt to play with him, toss him a ball or a toy and attempt to work together, he will maximum probable leave you on my own. 3. he's fragrance-marking his territory by applying rubbing against you and the fixtures. He is conscious you belong on your husband--and as a result, by applying extension, to him. 4. Cats are very gentle to emotions. The cat *is conscious* it extremely is being "positioned up with." looks such as you haven't any longer made even a minimum attempt to bond with this animal that's clearly considerable on your husband. If he had Cat formerly he had you, it extremely is extremely egocentric and unfair of you to ask him to kick his puppy to the decrease. inspite of each and every thing, *you* are the recent member in a longtime family individuals. yet then, you sound like the selection of guy or woman who in basic terms would not like animals. perchance looking Cat a house the place he won't be on sufferance 24 hrs an afternoon would be greater perfect for all of you.

It's not because of bad experience. I'm 100000000% sure about it.
It also happened to my husband's cat (but the cat is already dead now).
When my husband and his parents went for holidays, doesn't matter only for weekend or more than 1 week, when they returned home, the cat was always mad at them. He acted sooo aggressive. And he always peed on the stove, which normally he never did it when the family was home. And the cat always peed on the same spot outta anger because he felt lonely. But after some days, and sometimes after 1 week, the cat was normal again.
So dun worry, I'm sure your cat is only mad because you weren't home. I'm sure in some days she'll be ok again ;-)

My cat used to do this all the time to us. She is most likely peeved that you left. If she's used to hanging out with your husband in particular, that's why she's treating him poorly now. Have him give her some treats and be extra sweet to her no matter how mean she gets. Still discipline her for biting (gently of course!), but he should play with her lots. She'll get over it by the end of the week, I'd bet.

She most likley felt as if she was shunted away, because you were gone so long and had people she didn't know come into the house. She'll come around again, don't worry, she's just agitated and doesn't know what happend.
