We've spayed the places he goes with that anti cat stuff, locked him in a room and rubbed his face in it. We put him in the bathroom for a day and he started using his box again for 3 days. we left on a 3 day trip and came home to find poop on the floor.

I was wondering if anyone out there can help me understand what is going on with my cat Chester. Recently, approx. 4 mos. ago we had to make him an out side cat because he seemed to be aggresive towards our newborn. He seemed to adjust ok, we have a fenced in yard and he was well taken care of,but just 1 mo. ago he starred to escape by digging under the fence and when he comes home,he always brings home a snake! He never kills it though, it's always alive, which really upsets my husband who is deathly afraid of snakes. We always have to kill it,but when we start to get the hoe, that's what we use,Chester starts hissing and afterwards just goes under the porch for at least an hour, sometimes more. It's getting so upsetting. Can anyone please give me any ideas as to why he does it,or better yet,how to stop it. Thank you for your time.

I love cats!!! I have 2 adorable sweet and loving kitties who I love very much. I don't understand why "some" people still believe that cats aren't good pets. cats are just as affectionate as dogs if not more. in my own personal opinion I believe that cats are way better pets than dogs. they're low maintence, you can leave them home by themselves for days at a time and they won't tear your house up, you don't have to walk them everyday, they don't jump up on you and get you dirty, you don't have to give them baths, and they're very clean animals. why do people not agree with me? what do you think?

My cat is extremely skinny. I have had her for 4-5 years and she has always been around 8 lbs. I feed her enough but she is still too skinny.

he is showing affection in his own way (he doesnt like cuddles) or is it just because he is nasty (the tip of his tail is always wagging)?

First, note that I have a kitten myself and I contribute to the cat section of Yahoo Answers quite a bit. Anyways here's a few disgusting things about cats I don't really like:

1) fleas and scabies, possible carrier especially when they first come into the house, personal experience

2) they eat **** and drink urine: from reading on here how the mother cat helps their babies use the bathroom.

3) they also eat litter and possible their own ****, if it get's on them, they have to get it off somehow, animals don't really mine eating **** actually, it's just we humans find it disgusting, so attribute this to species prejudice

Those are mine personal, what about your own cat do you not like or find disgusting. Fortunate for me, I have a very affectionate kitty so bad behavior which is not tolerated in the house is not a problem. Also have a automatic litter box cleaner which does a good job of taking care of smell from the kitty.

She is a very sneaky and snoopy cat, so if there is a plant (even if it's at the highest point in the room) she gets it and eats it, then of course throws it all up. She also has long-fur, which tends to give her an upset stomach (i.e.-hacks up hairballs often), and no matter what cat food we give her (regular, hairball remedy, canned/soft food) she still gets sick.

Also, she has recently been pooping right outside of her litter box (which is changed regularly and is the same one she has always used along with her sister) and sometimes in a completely different room. Is this a way of getting our attention or something else?

Thanks!

When I first got my kitten they told me wash her with baby shampoo, but for some reason I lost the bottle. So yesterday I bought some shampoo that is actually for kids but still is 'no tears' formula. Its mild and wont burn her eyes. Is that ok to use?

why are people who own cats nasty? is it because they have cats or is it because they were nasty to begin with and thats why they have the cats? What do you think? i think it takes a coward to report this question and someone with a spine to answer.

i feed my kitty mainly science diet and authority, with some friskees and whiskas as well, since the other two brands are way expensive... he eats purina kitten chow dry food when i'm at work. he also gets catsip milk once every few days (its milk kitty's can digest) as a treat.

I was the one who asked what kind of dog to get while i am in college...but some of you answered why not get a cat...so now i want to know which is the best for a college person who still lives at home and has the whole basement to herself...cat, dog, kitten, puppy? Which is the best? If you know another pet that would work feel free to say that one too!

I have a 5 month old kitten who won't stop trying to nurse. We got him from the shelter, and he was 9 weeks old, but already in a "kittens only" cage with a bunch of others from other litters. I don't know the age he was origionally taken from his mother, but it was done before we got there. When we got him home he continuously came to us to try to nurse - earlobes, fingertips, anything that was the right size. Since we thought that he was taken from his mother too young I let him suck on my pinky finger and it made him happy, even though he never got milk out of it (obviously) we have tried a bottle but he does not like it, he will only lap at it like a fountian. Now he's older and we can't get him to stop. If I don't let him suck my finger (and I don't let him at all anymore) he will "nurse" on a blanket, pillow, or sometimes on his own fur (he's long hair). He has plenty of healthy kitten food, lots of water, and a kitten that is a few months older as a playmate. Any suggestions?

Sometimes my cat will go in the bathroom, jump up in the sink and start yelling. When I go in there to see what she wants she just sits there and looks at me. I leave the bathroom, she starts yelling again, I go back in the bathroom and she stops...Why do you think she might be doing this?
