First, note that I have a kitten myself and I contribute to the cat section of Yahoo Answers quite a bit. Anyways here's a few disgusting things about cats I don't really like:
1) fleas and scabies, possible carrier especially when they first come into the house, personal experience
2) they eat **** and drink urine: from reading on here how the mother cat helps their babies use the bathroom.
3) they also eat litter and possible their own ****, if it get's on them, they have to get it off somehow, animals don't really mine eating **** actually, it's just we humans find it disgusting, so attribute this to species prejudice
Those are mine personal, what about your own cat do you not like or find disgusting. Fortunate for me, I have a very affectionate kitty so bad behavior which is not tolerated in the house is not a problem. Also have a automatic litter box cleaner which does a good job of taking care of smell from the kitty.

thanks for all the answers. As for the eating **** thing, I know they only do it for the babies, that or in the wild to hide their babies droppings from predators. But regardless of why they do it, they do, do it. I don't hate my kitten for thing's it does naturally but I can be a little disgusted. Best way to describe it would be would you be able to do the same thing. If not, then you're probably a little disgusted =), even for your baby, licking and eat it's poop can't really test a human's mother's love for her offspring.

I don't have any cats, but I think it's disgusting when they walk on the counter. gross. first they walk in the litter box and burry their ****, then they walk all over the counter where you prepare food, yuck!

First humans can be carriers of scabies & fleas, as well as dogs and any other living breathing thing. As for keeping their babies clean - that is what they are doing, keeping them clean and sanitary. Dog do the very same thing for their puppies. I have to assume you don't change many diapers or wipe many butts. As for eating **** while cleaning, sometimes it just can't be helped, but it is not a common thing that cats do. That would only happen if they are sick and not being cared for. I have never, ever seen a cat take **** from it's litter box and eat it - but I have seen dogs get a scoobie snack or two. I think you have a phobia that you may want to address.

My cat has stinky breath and when I change his diet he farts a lot. Those are the gross things about him. Oh yes, he sniffs the other cats' rearends too, that's pretty gross. The only way his box stinks is if I neglect the duty of changing it every few days.
The mothers have to help their babies go potty, they cannot function on their own so the mother has to stimulate them, that shouldn't disgust you. :)

Almost all mother mammals "clean up" after their young.
What should really gross you out is that a cat's mouth is so dirty, if you're bitten by one (and it breaks skin), you have a 60% chance of getting a painful infection that will require weeks of antibiotics to get rid of.

1) my cats have never had feas
2) my cats have never eat feces or drank urine, we won't let them drink out of the toilet, we keep the lid down and/or the door closed. and the mother has to stimulate young kittens to go, that's just how they work.
3)my cats have never eaten litter, they go in, do their business, cover it up and get out.
My cats have never done anything to discust me except for vomiting, but you can't be upset about that, it's not their fault. (usually)

the only disgusting thing about my cat is that in the summer she is an outdoor cat and she brings back dead little animals that I have to dispose of........
