Picking out a nickname for a cat is kind of hard to decide. Obviously, you cant pick out a nickname for a cat if you only had it for a week or so. For example, not that it is a nickname or anything, I adopted a wild cat about 4 years ago. When I brought it home I originally named it Grace. About a month later I started to notice that she wouldnt stop mooching no matter how much cat food she had. So her new name is Mooch, because of her mooching. So basically it all depends on the traits and or habits you see in your cat. You dont want to nickname your cat "Fat Cat" if its skinny.

Perharps the best nickname for a cat is not choosing the most used.
It would be Meowty (combine meow with kitty)

I have had my cat for 6 years now. Had named him Alex when we found him but we had always called him papa or big papa( 17 lbs) Now if you call him Alex now he just looks at you like he has no clue as to what or whom you are talking about :) good luck on deciding on a good nickname....

Baby, sugs, beebee, luv bunny and sweetie are aome of the nicknames I call my cat! It really depends on your preference
