i know that kittens are generally have very short attention spans, and do a lot of wierd stuff when they're playing. but, every once in a while- he SERIOUSLY starts tripping b*lls. again, i'm not talking about your normal kitten wierdness- he gets a very frightened look in his eyes, and acts like there's some sort of invisible entity tormenting him. i've heard that cats have a gland in their brain that releases a chemical that has a similar effect on the cat as LSD has on a human. is my cat just playing, or is he traversing the astral plane?

Are you sure that you ACTUALLY have a cat and that it isn't you that's tripping on LSD?

If your cat is pure white with percing blue eyes? That might explain it. Your cat might be deaf. I have a deaf cat. But i don't think anything is tormenting your cat unless you have young kids around. Kittens and cats can become distempered if mistreated to much. They need there space like we do. If your cat starts to attack you or anyone else for no apparent reason? I would have the cat looked at. But other then that you have a special cat. Every cat has its own personality. I think you have a very playful happy cat.

My niece has a 4 month old kitten, and the thing is off the wall, i would give it some more time to grow, it has only been around for such a short time.. They are so play full, and love to climb the curtins at the best of times... Stay away from the catnip for a few more months.

ok dont take this the wrong way.... cats can see things that most humans cant.. like spirits and things of that sort.. the only reason i know bout this is because im just weird the same way... so plz dont ask. if it is tormenting him than you need to get it out of your house and i will tell you how if you are willing to listen.....
1. pray to God to forgive you of your sins
2. grab a bottle of some kind of oil
3. bind the spirit in jesus name e.g. i bind any spirit that is not of god in jesus' name (make sure your voice is very firm, almost mean)
4. take the oil and go outside
5. start to pour the oil while walkin around the house and pray that god uses this as a barrier against nething not of him.
6. complete a full circle around the house, pouring and praying all the way.
7. go back in the house
i dont care wat you may think of me, but i can promise you that this works, because ive done it myself. after you do this you will probably feel an unearthly peace in our house, dont be alarmed, that is God there with you.

ROFLMAO!!! HAAAAA!! HAAAAA!! HAAAA!!
You are too funny! No your cat has not OD'd on catnip I swear. You just haven't been around kittens (or cats for that matter) long enough to experience "the freakies". All kitties, young and old, get "the freakies" from time to time. Kittens especially! It's totally, 100% NORMAL. Allow me to show you how wonderfully bizarre cats can be...check out this link. You will laugh your a$$ off! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pIqhUCZgwXQ

Maybe he really sees someone! There are MANY proven cases that cats see ghosts. If it is a 'frightened' look as you say -- watch him, it could be a warning for you.

I wouldn't worry, that sounds pretty normal for a cat. Although, I once had a cat who was schizophrenic and had to be put to sleep....
