I like the tidy cats clumping for multiple cats. Though I only have two it's easy to scoop and stays fresh for a bit.

World's Best Cat Litter is the best and the most expensive. It is so easy to scoop and clean the box. It is made from corn and is dustless, can't harm the cat if ingested nor clog up their lungs with dust.

There are a couple of options you may have at a feed store. It's what they feed chickens. Ask the store personnel if they have had people use it for litter. A 50 lb bag is really reasonable. I have never gotten it because I could not handle a bag that heavy.

When I had cats, I used Fresh Step. I tried those crystal types and just ended up with yellow stained, pee smelling rocks. I also tried the natural paper-type litter, but that got messy. I ended up going back to Fresh Step.

My kitties like Nature's Miracle. If we use other kinds, one of them uses the floor instead. I would think preferences would vary from cat to cat. I say whatever they will use is the best!
