We have a 1 year old female cat and just recently brought home a 3 year old male cat and they aren't getting along. My female cat is not very happy with the new cat in her home. Will they ever get along and what do you suggest I do?? I can't stand keeping one locked in a room but they keep hissing at each other and want to fight.

Do older cats..or older pets get only 72 hours until they're put to sleep? Is this true? Is it ALL Humane Society's or just some?
so if i had to put my two cats who are about 1 year and a half old, and nobody wanted to adopt them after 72 hours, would they get put to sleep?

We've had them for about a year now..and they're brothers. (both male obviously) and they've been peeing on random things..like my dads clothes and my brothers bed supposedly i guess. i dont understand why they NEVER pee on anything of mine, or my mom's. I think it's because we're nice to them, and my dad and brother kinda tease them, and scare them because they're so loud and rough. so when my dad gets off of work, he's planning to pick them up and drop them off at the humane society..i REALLY need help, i've been so upset all day. any tips? suggestions?! anything?! ideas?! just please help. i dont want them to get separated if my dad does end up giving them away, because they're brothers, and they're so close. so just please, any ideas?

About a month ago my cats chin almost turned black. It is normally white, there are like black flakes on it, almost like dirt is stuck in it. I try rubbing it off but he doesn't like it because I think I am irritating the area. I also tried shampooing it off? What are these black things ONLY on his chin?

I think it smells like fish sticks, my b/f thinks it smells like #2. I feed him the IAMS kitten dry cat food. I have tried greenies and Pit r Pat mints, but they don't work. He is five months old and his teeth look great. Is it because he cleans himself in (you know what) areas?

My kitty is usually very playful and has great appetite. However, today it has been sleeping all the time and it hasn't eaten anything. What can be the reason for its strange behavour and what can i do to help? It this a disease? Or can it be acting like this because it misses my boyfriend? We live together and until now we have always stayed with the kitty (it's 4 months old). But my boyfriend had to travel and he left 2 days ago. The kitty is very personable and lovable and maybe this is its way of showing its feelings... Please share your experience with percians with me! Thank you!

My small kitten, Coco, about one year old. One day decides to lick gemstones laying on my desk. I have putted it into a case, but she still claws through it. Is it because the gemstones have cold surfaces and is somewhat like a water touch? Or is she just thristy or hungry?? Please help, and thank you.

Yesterday I peek into the room and see my cat with his head in his litter box. he was trying to grab something and pull it out of the box. he reaches in and grabs a piece of poop and throws it on the floor like he's playing with it. Is he that bored? He has other toys to play with why take the crap out of the box to play soccer with?

My cat has diabetes and is having some problems with missing the litter box. To avoid trashing the carpet in our apartment we have thought about kenneling him with his litter box and food in a large dog kennel. Of course, we would only do this when we are not at home. Anyone know if this is okay to do with a cat?
