We've had them for about a year now..and they're brothers. (both male obviously) and they've been peeing on random things..like my dads clothes and my brothers bed supposedly i guess. i dont understand why they NEVER pee on anything of mine, or my mom's. I think it's because we're nice to them, and my dad and brother kinda tease them, and scare them because they're so loud and rough. so when my dad gets off of work, he's planning to pick them up and drop them off at the humane society..i REALLY need help, i've been so upset all day. any tips? suggestions?! anything?! ideas?! just please help. i dont want them to get separated if my dad does end up giving them away, because they're brothers, and they're so close. so just please, any ideas?

Have you taken them to the vet?? This could be an indication of a medical problem...bladder or uninary tract infection. Take them to the vet first before you make any decisions. Can't believe your parents would just get rid of them not knowing what is the cause, and knowing how upset you would be. If they don't care about the cats, they should at least be unselfish enough to consider your feelings.

There are SEVERAL things that could be causing this action. Your father and brother are mean to them; they need to be NEUTERED!, and they could have a UTI, which causes random peeing. If you can at all help it, please do not drop the cats off at the Humane Society. Since they are adults, there is virtually no chance of them being adopted. They will have 72 hours tops, and they will be killed.

I know this sounds daft... but does your brother and Dad smell.... I had a cat that pee ed on my sons bed.. Why.. cuz the smell of urine was still in the mattress....( from when he was a kid and had little accidents )
So the cat thinks that's what is for..
Changing the mattress helped . It could be the Male smell thing going on..

Give your parents away, it'll be easier! Just kidding....have your cats checked out at the vet. It could be a sign of infection, litterbox aversion or they could be marking their territory. I had a cat who was neutered and he still sprayed. I resolved it by letting him go outside and let him do his business. Do your cats look like they are straining? Is there blood in the urine and does the urine smell like plain urine or does it really smell strong. A strong scent is a sign of spraying or marking their territory. They are showing who is boss. You can narrow it down and talk with your vet about it. Good luck!

its a way of showing owner ship, unfortunatly theirs nothing that can be done from marking their territory. That why I always have female cats...they dont pee on stuff. Offer to try and find a family to adopt them first before giving them up to the human society. Go to your local petsmart and see if they might be willing to help.

this is not the cats fault that you do not spend the time with it. Why did you get a cat in case you weren't going to spend time with it? supply it on your mom or someone who will like it and provides it the time it desires. It became your responsibility, this is not any individual elses fault that the cat is peeing on your room, exceptionally not the cats.

take them to the vet, they may have urinary tract infections. or they need to re-learn how to use the litter box by putting the cats and the litter box in the bathroom and close the door leave some water in there as well.

beg your parents don't let them beg again and again and if you have a garage maybe they could sleep there or hang out there garages are nice and cool especially since it's summer
