I think so. I have just cat sat for a month and you could tell the cat was upset that her owner was gone. She was very clingy with me and never wanted to be out of my sight. The cutest thing was when her owner would ring up and speak to her over the phone and the cat really could tell that it was her!

Yes, cats do miss their people. And it's worse for only kitties, or for cats who have been abandoned before.

Yes!! Cats aren't stupid. They might even act like they're mad at you for being gone sometimes, but they love their owners :)
