My kitten will go from a quiet nap to a wild animal running all over the house. Is there any way to calm her down?

Your kitten wants to play and be active. I have found the cat toys that consist of a string attached to a stick at one end and feathers on the other provide endless enjoyment for the feline and an easy time for the human. The beam from a flashlight works really well too. My cats love for me to throw their toys up the stairs so they can race after them and knock them down the stairs again. The important thing is that you play with her regularly.

Hey, that's what kittens DO! Let her go, she needs to exercise her little muscles and that's a good way to do it. Get involved and play along with her. Get out the catnip and the string on a stick and go to it. It's also a great way to "bond" with your kitten and become her best buddy, not just the person who feeds her and changes her litter pan. And her bursts of activity probably don't last too long, right?

Enjoy her and play along--it's good for YOU, too.

Hope this helps. Please hug the little little rascal for me.

Bless you both.

we have 3 kittens. the female plays but not like our wild and crazy males. when the 2 of them are done going crazy, they lay down and sleep. that's the way kittens are, up one minute and sleeping the next.

Play with her more often - but just know that kittens just usually pop up and go, go, go!

The more she plays, the more energy she will use, but wild is part of a kitten's life...

Mine does to. Just let her play and run it out. She is rested up and ready to go. Get some cat toys and play with her. Or let her play by herself. Plastic balls are a must for them. Little furry things that they can toss around. Some times when I can't play with mine I tie a thick string to a chair leg with a feather, ball or anything and she will play for an hour by herself. Good luck.

It's a kitten. It's usually better to have at least two of them, that way they have a way of getting rid of energy by fighting with eachother.

Ask the vet or herbalist.. there is an oil ( i think ) that you can get to burn in your oil burner and other stuff to give the cat to calm it down..
Try massaging the cats scruff... not too rough, pull the skin up , like the mother cat caring it , and let it go.. this helps my cats get to sleep.. Honestly

Not really, this is typical kitten energy. Provide toys and she should spend some energy playing with those.
