Easy! Either you have something that smells good on your hands, or they're giving you Kitty Kisses! :-)

If your cat is always licking your hand don't be alarmed or annoyed it is just showing you that you are a great owner and is trying to telling you that it loves you and this could be your reward.

cats love the taste of salt!
salt is also in sweat so hen u put ur hand near a cat and they smell the saltiness they just want to lick it.
And so they do!
also a lick is a cats version of a kiss.
so ur cat is also kissing ur hands.
u should feel flattered!

I think it is sort of an affection thing with them. I always wondered if they liked the salty taste that is on our skin.
I have an old cat that will lick my forehead at night. Her tongue is so rough, like a brillo pad.

I think its their way of showing love to you and maybe to get your scent. My female cat will do it in a heart beat, but my male cat will not lick me at all. He is a lot different in many ways. But now he will let me pick him up and hold him any time any way, but female cat will not. Strange isn't it?

A- you have something tasty on your hands
B- they just feel like it.
When ever my cat gives himself a bath, when ever I pet him, he grabs my hand, and starts licking it. They are just in a good mood when they lick you. Its a good thing, I LOVE IT!

You're cat is probably kissing you. When my cat is being playful he will start to bite me but quickly remembers that he likes me and begins licking me. He doesn't do it to anyone else really.

Their smell is 10 times better than ours. My guess is you have eaten something at some point of the day or have some perfume or lotion on that the cat likes.

They are licking the salt off of your hands...if your hands are clean and they rub their chin on you, you have just been claimed as theirs..it is a scent mark.

Because your there qwner their friend, mother, father etc. They sometimes like to give you a small bath if they're giving themselves one. Other times it's purely for affection.
