She occasionally squats and looks like she is peeing but when she gets up there is a mucusy discharge that looks dark red when dried. The discharge has no smell to it at all. She only does this once in a while, but she has done it all her life (she is 4). What is this discharge. It is never in the same spot. She is a dominate female so she does occasionally spray by the front door. She is spayed so I don't think that she is in heat, but she kind of acts like she is. She has been crying a lot lately and trying desperately to get outside, but again she is spayed so why is she acting like this? Help!!

how to tell when a cat is labour or what signs mean she might be soon. my cat that is approx 60 days pregnant and had a slight dicharge or couple of days ago but nothing else happened, she is starting to act strange she now hangs out in my garage(she cant get outside) and lays in a box with an old dooner in it but if i walk in she follows me every and acts like shes hungry but this is not possible as she has 3 small feeds a day. also as wierd as it sounds 2 days ago when she was laying down and attempted to lick herself in the below region u could hear a soft meow that wasnt her it was comming from down there. so if anyone has any ideas whats happening any advice very appreciated. and to anyone that just wants to say get her desexed shes already booked in to be done as soon as kittens a old enough to be weaned.

do you know why, have you experienced something similar. At first I though he wanted food, but he has. He is now with my ex girl friend and he does the same with her, so she is suffering from sleep deprivartion because the cat doesnt let her sleep properly, even if she close the door of the room he scratches the door.
May be is he looking for attention, but I have had thim for 11 years and he started to do this may be six months ago only. His health is ok, recently went to vet.

i am 3 months pg and my 4 month kitten will scratch at any thang and anyone i dont want to put my child at harm and i dont want to give my kitten away so we thought of declawing. i dont want anyone answering me and telling me how wrong it is to do it. if you have a baby who cant defend for themselve you would do it. the only answer im looking for is the cost and recovery time and what age the kitten has to be to do it. if your going to give me a rude answer please dont bother.

The fish are huge, so I imagine they're quite expensive. My cat has been eyeing them up, and he's come home with some rare finds recently, so I wouldn't be surprised...

I have looked on many websites and cannot be sure. The lady at the cattery said one was a flame - point and the other a chocolate - point. Neither match the descriptions exactly. Is there somewhere i can post a picture and get another opinion?

I think these people are very mis informed. Cats do too bond with their owners, at least mine do. They are always so excited to see me come home, sleep with me follow me.....etc. I had dogs my whole life and when my home burned down and I lost my dog it broke my heart. So....I decided to get a cat, which turned out to be three cats by the way, LOL for a little change and because they are supposed to be more independent than dogs and less work. Plus the fact that I dont think I could ever except another dog again and I thought that I wouldnt get too attached to the cats because they are so independent. You see I was mis informed too. In about a month I fell in love with my cats and eventually adopted a third one (a small kitten) and now I couldnt live without them. They won me over and over again. So...Im just curious as to why people believe that cats do not bond. I believe that all pets no matter what they are bond with their owners.

I've been told (here) that cats don't like their bowls cleaned with standard dish soap. Can anyone recommend any brands?

My cat has fleas so i bought this thing from a shelf at petsmart "purrscriptions flea medicine" where you put it on the spine of the cat and wait for it to "work it's magic", but i'm afraid to because what if he has some nasty allergic reaction to it or something? He is young and i dont think he's really allergic to anything yet like the shampoos i be using on him rarely.

Since February, I have been feeding this female cat that lives near me. (I call her Little Girl or Mama Cat.) Well, she had babies, she's left because they're old enough and I don't want to see them grow up to a life of being a feral cat. I would love to take them myself, but I already have 7 cats and a dog.

What is the best way to capture them so that I can take them to SPCA? I don't know if they'll make it there, but they're certainly not going to be tamed where they are now.

Two of them come right up to me, although they won't let me touch them, other than lightly touching them on the ear while they're devouring the food I provided. The third, a girl I think, is still very shy, although certainly not about eating.

Any suggestions would be really great. I consider myself a strong animal lover and I do not want to leave these kittens to the elements.

The kitten is one month old.Never was sick before. Our vet (the only one in town) refuse to treat kittens under two months.I have no other vet to go to, so would try any homemade cure, if anyone know anything good.I'm giving it antybiotics, every six hours and it had its first kitten parasite tablet day before yeasterday. We had to hurry that, cause mother had some parasites while ago and we fear she somehow get them again. Kitten does not show signs of parasites. It still eat (milk and bisquites, fed by suringe from its second week (mother didn't have enough milk)), but it eats rarely and very poor. Most time it spend dozing and even awake, rarely moving. There is no mucus around his nose. It seam to me it does not have a fever and still breathing normal speed, but sometime shallow. Also,it seam to me its throat is little tumid. Is propolis tincture of any use in this sort of cases? What about of echinacea drops? What is a dosage of any of it sutable for one monts old kitten? Any other help?

I have a 2 year old son, my three month onld cat and my son are best friends. They play great togather cat never scratches my son. BUT whenever my son goes to sleep, my cat trys to nibble on mine sons ear and sleep on my sons head. not over his mouth or anything, so he's not keeping my son from breathing, he just wakes him up every time he does this. If I wake up and remove the cat from the room the cat comes back several times a night and does the same thing. I don't wanta sleep with my bedroom door closed or lock the cat up and I don't wanta get rid of him b/c my son loves him, but I can't have this happen anymore as my son is't getting a good nights rest and neither am I. If this keeps up I will have no choice but to give the cat away. Has anyone had an experience like this or can tell me what to do to make this stop.

He's an indoor cat and has a scratching post, but seems like he prefers the couch and chair (and carpet) best.
We don't want to have him declawed, and I don't think we can anyway because of his age....so what do we do?
We have a 2-month-old baby at home as well, and he doesn't attack the baby, but if he does, we don't want him to tear him to shreds!
