I havent taken my cat to get booster shots and rabies yet ( he's going to be two and i got the set of shots last year) but now it's time to take him to the vet and i've been a little busy, but mostly had this thing where i had a hard time getting him in his carrier but i've sort of resolved that. When do those shots expire?

My siamese cat, Sophie is asleep on my bed. She looks so sweet. Should I awaken her for pets? Or just let her be? She's so cute when she first wakes up, she'll meow a surprised, tired meow, then she'll purr up a storm.

My two kittens have the worst fleas ever. I'm constantly itching. They're constantly itching. And it's driving me crazy! I've used the stuff you apply on them that lasts a month. I've got the house spray. I bathed them before I put the stuff on them. Etc. Etc. Today I found about twenty fleas on my white one; gosh knows how many the dark one has! I don't know what to do! The home I got the white one from is flea ridden...so thats where they came from, but they won't go away! Someone please help!

I recantly got a new kitten a couple of day ago, and he is eating fine, but he will not drink his water! I'm worried that he will get dehydrated. He hasn't had anything to drink since i got him. How do I get him to drink some water?

My kitten is about 6 months old. She is a sweetheart and she has another cat to play with. The only problem is that she likes to climb walls. She climbs the frame of the doors and makes it all the way to the top. I have tried the water bottle, tried ignoring her, yelling at her, I also tried putting sticky tape on it but she doesn't care. What can I do to make her stop? She's ruining the wood and I don't want her damaging anymore because I am renting the place.

I'll be flying with my cat this week for the first time. I'm moving from Chicago to California. I'm really scared and i don't know how he is going to act. What if he "meows" the during the flight!! He will be in the plane with me (under the seat). Has anyone traveled with their pet before? How did it go?

My two cats at my house have fleas and we've been treating them with things like flea collars, and stuff. But then i bought this flea killer that you put down the spine of the cat and it "works it's magic", but the back of it says it could have allergic reactions like all flea medications. I bought it at the pet store so i was wondering should i use it? I'm just worried that something might happen in case even though our cats have never been allergic to anything yet really.

Also what's up with fleas. Are domestic outdoor cats subject to fleas for the rest of their lives and have to have some kind of flea medication for the rest of their lives?

I don't believe this at all!!! just because they can't reproduce anymore doesn't mean that they're not the same sex as they were when they were intact. some people refer to them as an "it". that is sooooo stupid in my opinion. I have two male/female cats who both spayed/neutered and I still consider my boy a "boy" and my girl a "girl". I also have a male dog who is neutered and he is a "boy" still. I don't believe that spay/neuter your pet takes away their sex and turns them into an "it". that's ridiculous!!! what do you think about this? I'm just curious.

I have already tried hitting them with the fly swatter, shooing them, chasing them, punishing them.Nothing seems to work.My boyfriend and I argue about this because I love them to much I don't like to keep punishing them or hitting them.

My litter box is in the bath tub. And it is the second time it has happened. The urine is on the side of the tub running down the drain next to the box. The box isn't wet or sprayed. The box isn't full either. I clean it every morning. Is he marking his territory or can it be a medical problem? Or maybe the box is too small for him? This is a stray cat I took in a week ago. Have not taken him to the vet yet, but I will on the 5th.
