Did Koolaide give you worms?
Most kittens have worms when they are born and all animals can get worms through out their lives. They usually come from fleas or mosquito's believe it or not.

No. Worms are contracted through eggs. As another user stated. If your cat is an "indoor" pet the chances are that he or she won't catch them.
