I'm originally from buffalo and I know how hot and muggy it can get. I also have a long haired cat that my parents are caring for (they're still in Bflo). When she gets hot, I let her go downstairs in the basement, laying on the cement keeps her cool. She also loves it when I put ice cubes in her water. Occasionally I'll throw an ice cube on the kitchen floor so she can play with it and lick it. They can deal with the heat a lot better than you think. If she goes outside just let her lay down in the shade. Whatever you do, don't put vasilline on her paws b/c you think the blacktop with burn her pads. Dogs and cats cool themselves by panting and I think they have sweat glands on their paws and the vasiliine will cause them to over heat (and slide across the driveway!).

First get a squirt bottle and put it to mist, spray her lightly and then brush her to get the water right down to her skin. Second get a large cup and fill it with water. Put the cup in the freezer along with many others if you want. Put the ice in the water dish. It's actually funny to watch a cat bat at a foreign object in their water dish. If you leave your bathroom door open run the shower on cold for a while and then let kitty lie in the bathtub after water is gone. Hope that helps.

My cat likes to be rubbed with ice cubes while this is warm. this is gotten to the element the place she truly begs me for it! you ought to objective that with your kitty - you merely puppy her at an identical time as conserving an ice cube. Do it a touch greater around the face and neck, the place this is going to sense greater clean. you additionally can attempt a easy "tub" - in basic terms a touch with a moist washcloth - or if she happens to be a sort of loopy cats who likes getting moist, then get her moist. the two way, the substantial ingredient is that she drink lots of water for the period of the day. shop her water bowl VERY clean and clean so as that this is appetizing.

I have several "rice" bags in the freezer. When is way too hot for me and my kitties, I get one out. It is not wet, and the cold lasts a while. They are sometimes sold as heating pads... very easy to make!! We love them.

you can make sure she has plenty of fresh cool water.. she will do the rest. if you must do something else ,just try spraying her with a spray bottle.. but most cats hate that.
