My new kitten keeps standing in his own crap. It sticks to his feet. Is there anyway I can stop him from standing in it?

I am with my kitten most of the day, and i clean his litter tray straight after he uses it. i mean the second he steps out of it. he stands in it straight after he uses it. i would love to deep fry him, but it would be too much of a waste- i only eat the tail. throwing it out would be a sin with all those starving children in 3rd world countries.

It will depend on how old this kitten is first off. When we got our second kitten she was under 7 weeks and needed a tiny box for waste. They don't know any better until they are taught.
Give him time to learn.

Hi again. I think your kitten is very young???Perhaps too young to be away from mum. Buy babywipes, and clean his feet with these after he has done what cats do. Dont give him cows milk- it can kill kittens.

He'll grow out of it. It's quite normal. Try not shout at him though, but make sure you are able to clean his paws and throughly wash your hands afterwards as poo poo feet can be harmful health wise.

He will soon learn to use his litter tray properly, it wont take long, a couple of weeks maybe.

I have a crap-walker! It's nasty but eventually they'll stop and if they accidentally step in it, they'll clean their feet right away. Scooping up right after them helps too.

They all do it lol.
He will soon learn to avoid it and clean his own feet.
Untill then you will have to do it for him i'm afraid.
Baby wipes work well (unfragranced tho)

this question makes me giggle.. cos it reminds me of when my little one was small he would stand in his food bowl and everything. and one day i made veggie stew and he wanted to lick it out.. but he had to stand in the bowl to do so.. and we called him little veggie feet after that cos they stank! he will grow out of it..
