My cat (a Blue Cream Persian) went in to labor yesterday. She had one kitten last night at 7:15. It is very small, probably about 4 inches long. Not much fur. I can see kittens moving around inside Mom's belly, but it has been 14 hours, and no hard labor, no heavy breathing and no pushing. Is she OK?

I did call my vet's emergency service, and they said it can take 2-3 days sometimes for a cat to have all the kittens, but I feel that to be dangerous for the momma cat. This IS her first litter. She was NOT bred on her first heat, but rather her 4th.

Anyone out there that knows anything about this? Serious answers only please.

Hello, I'm a bit concerned after reading reviews on some of these products that they may be dangerous. Some peoples cats have had violent reactions to these treatments and some have even been hospitalized. Also, many of them say that they don't work anyway......I'm in the UK so any help would me much appreciated before I buy one of these products. Is it better to just get them from a vet and do flea collars work?......lot's of questions but it is a concern.Thank you.

My poor baby Bam, a moggy, was hit by a car the other day (12/6/06) and I'm still grieving badly for him. My boyfriend offered to buy me a ragdoll kitten and they are amazingly cute, but I don't know if I'm ready. However, the cat next door Shirley, may be pregnant to Bam but I don't know if she is old enough, if she has ever been on heat, or if she would have allowed Bam to mate with her. She wasn't very friendly when he tried to play with her and she is quite small. Her belly looks large and feels firm, she comes to eat at my house since her owner doesn't care for her much I care for her a fair bit. I don't know if her belly is this way from pregnancy or eating too much food at once but she tries to lift her belly away when we try to touch it....What do you think? How can I know? Her owner says if she's prego I can have one of my grand-babies.

My cat is anywhere between 60 to 63 days. She has been acting very funny tonight. She has been wondering around all evening, but stops in her tracks and begins licking her bottom area. I have been keeping an eye on her but getting worried, this has been going on for several hours. Please tell me what the signs of going in to labor are or what they are when they are in labor...Thanks

My 4 year old cat is vomiting quite frequently lately. I would take him to the vet, but I thought (until now) that this might be normal hairball-type puking.

He's overweight (always has been, though my other cat - his brother - is slim) He seems happy and healthy otherwise. He's not particularly active, but I haven't noticed any changes in his behavior to indicate that he's not feeling well. In the past couple months, he's had times where he's vomited more than 3 times in one day - but then have no problems for a week...it's been on and off like that. When he does puke, it appears to just be food/water (though his food is darker than what I find on the floor). Sometimes, it's just a watery-bile substance.

If anyone out there is familiar with what this might be, please tell me what you know. I'm in a financial pinch right now, but will take him to the vet if this seems to be anything very serious - I'd rather go broke than have my poor Chester suffering!

my beautiful 2 year old cat died this morning. i want to know what caused it. last night he didnt get out of his bed at all bf and i thought maybe he had a cold or a tummy ache and said we would take him to the vet in the morning, he was having trouble walking and his tummy looked a bit bigger than usual, but this morning i got up and found him lying on the floor with very watery feoces half in and out, also there was some clear gooey stuff coming out of his mouth he had already passed. What could have caused this? he was so young and this came very unexpectedly he was fine the day before yesterday. Any suggestions??

My female cat is not spayed (*yet). In the interim until we get back from vacation (when her appointment to get spayed) how do we keep her from peeing on everything????????? She'll do it right in front of us!!

What we have tried:

1. Urine Gone
2. Clorox Bleach Spray
3. Soap & Water
4. Putting stuff on the furniture to block her (she still squeezes down and pees on it)

Anyone have any suggestions beyond locking her in our basement?
