instead of asking a question like this and wasting time, you should have been calling the vet and taking him in. cats get ill very easily and quickly and sometimes it's harder for cats to recover than other animals.
and as for the possibility of milk in the cat food, if there is, it's treated for the lactose so that cats can digest it. the milk in cat food wouldn't be the problem.
CALL THE VET ASAP!!!

Keep him on a regular cat food - don't switch brands. And don't feed it so much! Don't just fill the dish because it is empty. Feed him once or twice a day in small doses. Also, for the sick part, if you do give him milk, stop. Most cats are lactose intollerant. Besides that, he could have eaten something, a lizard or something. Maybe it licked something you sprayed somewhere like insect spray or something. Keep an eye on him and his water dish to see that he is at least getting fluids. I wouldn't want him getting dehydrated. If the doesn't improve in a couple days, I would take him in to the vet. If your sorta poor like me, check the yellow pages for a Friends of Animals or something like that, so you can get a cheap visit.

Well sweetie that can mean many things. If he is an out door cat he could have ate something. So keep him in side for two weeks to monitor. If an indoor cat Diet could also be to blame. So give nothing but fresh water and dry food. (indoor formula)(13lb.) If no sign of change try fur ball Medicine. Worst thought it could be an intestinal problem. Take to vet. A.S.A.P. Good luck, and just keep a good eye.

If he isnt using his litter box, he is trying to tell you "SOMETHING'S WRONG WITH ME!' The best thing would be to take him to the vet.
Oddly enough though, My cat kinda went through the same thing. What we did with him was we gave him a quarter of a Pepto Bismol tablet and it worked quite well. Maybe try that, and if after 2 days nothing works, take him to the vet.

If he has been outdoors lately or has caught a mouse in your home, he may have round worm or ringworm. Get your vet to do a fecal test. Otherwise, you may have to change his food. Definitely take him to a vet, and get him more active so he slims down. Overweight cats often get arthritis from the weight on their legs - you don't want your furry feline friend to be in pain do ya?

Take a stool sample and your kitty to the vet and have his stool checked for worms. My guess is it might be whip worms. Meanwhile if you have to wait a few days for an appointment for your vet, try feeding him dry food or one of the canned foods with a little rice in it (senior variety).

Take him to the vet as soon as possible. Cats can dehydrate and organs can shut down relatively quickly when ill, especially an older cat. good luck - good wishes for the kitty

your best bet would be to take him to the vet. sounds like a worm or other parasite, i've seen cats w/ giardia & other that do the same. only your vet can tell you for sure, don't wait because many of these things can get much worse (and mch more expensive to treat) if not treated immediately.

take him to the vet, if he is an outside kitty keep him inside for a couple days if you are using the cheap grocery store brands switch to a higher quality one i reccomend NUTRO my cat used to do the same thing, the vet did some operation and told me to switch to a higher quality food, i tried NUTRO and my kitty ate less and was alot healthier, and she quit getting fleas and ticks and mites etc.

I don't think anybody could diagnosis your cat without an exam.
Possibilities include a virus or infection, irritable bowel disease, intestinal lymphoma, hairballs, parasites, and/ or dietary indiscretion.
Call your veterinarian for more info.
