Why does my cat chew on my foot? Is he trying to eat me or does he love me?

i have 3 cats.. so i know about kittes pretty well.

when cats bite you, and it doesnt seem like theyre doing it out of anger, it is a sign of affection.

they bite you because they feel intense love for you.

cats dont know that biting or rubbing its claws on you (in a nice way.. my cat likes to paw at me) hurts you. because cats have a thicker layer of skin, plus a fur coat. so they dont realize it may hurt.

but dont worry -- its just your cats way of telling you he or she loves you :)

My cat tries to chew on my foot but he only gets as far as a bite 'cause I pull my foot away. I think he likes the challenge, though. Makes the game more fun.

It's most likely affection. Cats have some weird ways of showing affection.

For the same reason you chew on your girlfriends neck and shoulders when you are sleeping together. Cats have thicker skin and are used to biting harder.

Maybe it smells like something dead and makes your cat hungry. Why don't you wash your feet more often. If that don't work, chew on your cats feet and see how it likes it.

My Siamese mix loves to nibble on my toes, too. It's just a sweet behavior or a game.

He's playing. Just trying to show his love in the only way he can (besides purring);)
