We have been watching these baby duck eggs for a week now at my work, the mom has always been there. Well today we saw the mom as road kill on the street. very sad. What can we do for these eggs? one is crushed.. and one was outside the nest, and one is missing. we rolled the one back in using bread so we would touch it. Can we call someone to pick them up and care for them, or can we do something?

my bird is a cockiteal and it keeps chirping about every 1.5 seconds. my brother is trying to study in the other room with a math tutor and.......the bird keeps doing it. is it because it is night and birds naturally do this? (it is 7:26) and what way can i make it be quiet. should i go over to it and stare at it? put somthing over it?

Why do birds sing in the morning?

Are they singing or are they just communicating to other birds?

Answers appreciated.

Thanks

I have a 4 yr old female african grey that I got back in November 2006...

She's great with everyone and we all love her but theres only one problem.. she's scared of her toys???

I went to the pet store and got her different toys and she's scared of eveything. She wont get near anything she doesnt recognize, not a ball not the little bird mirrors they sell... can anyone tell me why is this happening and can I do anything to help her get used to the toys or should I just give up?

Am keeping separate from other birds. The area around and above the left nostril is knobby. The bird is about 11 and wasn't well cared for. Is this an infection or something to see an avian vet about? The food and water dishes were not kept clean and the bird was fed the worst diet possible. The avian vet is a 2 hour drive but I will get vet care if this requires it. The beak is not powdery as my other cockatoos are.

This is the 2nd time I ask this question, I DO NOT need advice on bird keeping or bird behaviour. I am buying one and I want to make sure I do not pay too much for it. A price range would be helpfull, the one i am looking at is 4 years old.
Thanks.

Today came back from holidays to find a injured magpie outside my front garden (cats must have got it). It is quite small, probably a juvenile. Anyway, what do I do? I have it in a box with a hot water bottle and a towel. Does it need food or water? if so how do I feed it?

I probably can't contact anyone as it is the bank holiday. I'm living in Ireland.
