they cant fly.
They only come out when they have gotten enough stregnth to fly.
I have seen them when they aren tiny and they aren't pretty. Its better off they hide in their nests! -believe me!!

They don't leave the nest until they're old enough to fly...lots of people have asked this question before, baby pigeons aren't exactly 'cute' to some pepole. I've held a few before and they do struggle but after awhile they calm down, they also seem to like hearing someone's heartbeat.

Pigeons many times nest in enclosed areas out of how of climate and prying human eyes. i know this via fact my mattress room while i became into turning out to be up had a crawl area of an attic straight away above. I fell asleep each and each night to the lullabies of mom pigeons cooing to their babies, a valid that i will nevertheless reproduce to this very day. some years in the past, i got here upon a banded pigeon with an injured leg in our driveway. I have been given in touch with the human beings who owned him, yet they weren't waiting to come again get him till day after in the present day. The undesirable element became into in ask your self and does not consume the chicken seed that i might placed down for him till I gave the maternal coo that I knew from my adolescents. while he heard it, the chicken became extra alert, appeared around as though he have been thinking who became into making 'mommy sounds', and then ate and drank. His proprietors got here to get him day after in the present day and all became into nicely.

The parent birds keep them well hidden. They're nearly full sized when they leave the nest.
(Had some pigeons build a nest on my balcony - a whole summer of VERY INTERESTED house cats, LOL)
